Color Preferences
We probably want to keep a sizable portion of the logo silver and use color sparingly. (But we are open to well-designed logos that have more color.) It's important that the colors look good on very dark grey backgrounds as well as white backgrounds. Blue could be a good accent color.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
This logo will be used on all of our business cards (very dark grey background), printed stationery (white background), and our website (probably very dark grey background), so we will need at least two versions of the logo: One on white background and one on very dark grey background.

We are a young, very modern and agile company that works with the latest computer technology and advanced scientific research. We need our prospective clients to look at our logo and immediately see that we are serious, capable, and dedicated.

We'd like to see many different ideas at first. One basic concept that we do have right now is: To convey a modern feeling, try a 3D-style logo. Since it will be frequently used on dark backgrounds, it may need some sort of subtle light behind it, to add some separation. We probably want to keep a two-tone color scheme, where one of the colors is silver and the other is a good, deep accent color. Perhaps two accent colors in addition to silver may also work. Again, this is only one idea and we would love to see a large variety of suggestions.

Please try to keep the logo simple, elegant, and fluid, but don't make it boring -- it needs to be high-tech and edgy. The perfect mix of boldness and measure. We do prefer logos that demonstrate a mastery of lighting techniques and well-balanced gradations. It should look polished and refined.

UPDATE: Please DON'T LIMIT your ideas to a stylized "Q". Also, please try to work our SLOGAN ("No Uncertainty") into the design; this will definitely improve your chances.
