(#57, #58, #63, #64, #65, #66, #67, #68, #82, #83, #84, #85, #86, #87, #88, #89)
Mare,
Thank you for continuing to present us with new designs as well as refining your existing ones. You submitted so much that it took us a while to get through it all! :-)
First of all, we forgot to request in our earlier comments: Can you please include our slogan ("No Uncertainty") in your logos?
It's tough choosing between #53 and #84. First, we're not sure whether we prefer a sphere or a rounded rectangle, but are there any other shapes you can suggest -- something more unusual? We like how #53 has more and finer elements, which improve its appearance. The blue shadow in #53 also makes the logo feel a lot less empty. We aren't sure whether we prefer the company name to be a solid color (#84) or a gradient (#53) but that's a decision we can always make later (right now we're leaning towards gradient).
#86/#87 is a cool shape, and #86 looks especially good on the black background because of the nice icon shadow. Can you do more with this shape? Perhaps twist it somehow. Make it make more of a statement about our company (maybe something scientific). Also, it would probably look better if the surface was more "polished", i.e. more glassy or reflective or liquid.
#88/#89 is also a really interesting shape, very suggestive of electrons orbiting a nucleus. Obviously, that concept is very appealing to us. Can you embellish it somehow? We feel that it needs some small, subtle details. Also maybe make the three orbitals less well-defined and more fuzzy or transparent towards the rear. Another cool thing to do is to add some sort of "digital" feeling to part of the icon, maybe by gradually pixellating part of it… just an idea. Please experiment with this logo, as we definitely want to explore ways of mixing the concepts of "physics" and "digital" together.
#57/#58 is still interesting but it looks a little jagged, especially at the bottom. The idea of a simple sphere is also not too exciting, unless perhaps you make the entire logo be the text "QUANTUMCODE" and replace the letter "O" with the sphere. Not sure how well that would work unless the font & text styling are REALLY good, but you may want to experiment with it.
The nucleus in #82/#83 is interesting, not sure how well it works inside that particular icon though. Also, the gray fiber bundle in the bottom right is a nice attempt at adding some variety, but it doesn't feel very natural.
There are some terrific ideas here from you, some of the best we've seen in this contest so far. We've had to move some of your logos to lower ranks just to avoid discouraging other designers! We're hoping to see your designs refined and polished. Thanks!
