The colors and styling here are too cartoonish. We are looking for gorgeous, photorealistic effects. Precisely crafted metal and glass, that sort of thing.
The icon itself is too symmetric and doesn't really express anything about our technical/scientific expertise.
The text should also be all-lowercase or all-caps, and have a more serious & technical font.
