Hi, thank you for your submissions! (#7, #8, #9, #10, #11, #12, #13) We like the general style of all of these icons.

Specifically, the font is great; we love it. The silver/orange colors work very well. There is good use of subtle gradation. We especially like the asymmetry in #8.

Maybe the only thing we would like improved is the slogan. It's a little hard to read, and the font is too plain.

Beyond that, we're really eager to see what other designs you can make. Right now we have too many logos that look like a stylized Q and not enough other original ideas. What can you suggest?

Thank you for the updates! (#70, #72)

The new font in the slogan is a little better, but it's still not what we'd like to see. Compared to the absolutely perfect font you are using for the company name, the slogan looks very plain. Can you keep working on it?

The pixellated area in #72 looks very good. We keep wanting to move this logo to first place, but we think it's missing a little bit of something "extra". Perhaps the silver area looks a little bit plain (maybe it needs to be divided?), or perhaps the overall diamond shape itself is ordinary. Can you play around with this a bit? We still very much like the basic feel.

Looking forward to seeing your updates. Thanks!

Giant, thanks for the new logos (#93, #94, #95)

The font on the slogan is much better. It's not perfect, but a lot closer. Please do keep trying other fonts until you find something brilliant!

The new font, along with the shading on the icon, helped push it into first place. We're not 100% convinced, though, that this is the best possible shape or texture for the icon. Could you try making the silver part of the icon more metallic (probably having more texture and reflection)? Just a thought.

The real issue is that, although the logo looks very professional and eye-catching, we're still a little put-off by the symmetrical squareness of the icon. This is probably something that needs to change, but we're not sure how best to do that while maintaining your excellent style. We would very much like to see what you can suggest. Thank you!

Forgot to mention:

Please show us how the logo would look on a white background, as this is necessary for our intended usage. Thanks!

Just had an idea: How about making the orange pixellated part kind of "melt" and "drip" into one of the letters in "quantum"? Just thinking out loud here.

(#100, #101, #102, #103, #104, #105, #106, #107, #108, #109)

Giant, thank you for the recent updates. We have two comments:

1) The dots dripping into the U don't look as good as we hoped. We want the logo to give the impression that quantumcode is being "formed" out of orange (and/or maybe silver) dots. This might require a more extensive reworking of the logo.

2) The square icon is still too ordinary. Despite the 3D angling you do in #108/#109, and the beveling you do in almost all of these latest icons, the underlying shape is still a square. We would like to see a completely different idea from you. Perhaps it will be more round or perhaps not, but we really want to see a more original shape.

There is one day remaining in the contest and we really like the basic feeling of this icon. We just need to see how you can make it unforgettable.

Thank you!

(#216, #217, #218, #219)

Giant,

We're really asking you to COMPLETELY change the basic shape you're using, not just alter it slightly. Please try your best to do this before the contest ends, as we are looking for unique shapes for our first place.

#219 is a nice alternative to #101. It may look better with a very brushed-metal texture, as opposed to glassy.

Can you try making the transition from solid material to dots gradually? For example, the top half of the shape is solid, but the bottom half starts to slowly "melt" into dots that drip into the company name.

Also, can the drip be a single column and be aligned with one of the stems of the "U"? It looks a little clumsy when it's going inside the U. Please also try to find alternative ways of making the company name out of the dripping.

Thanks!

Hi Giant,

Now that the contest is over, we are asking our top designers to continue working with us. We should be making our ultimate decision by the middle of next week, and we'd definitely like to see your final designs before then. We will move you to first place for a day or two so that we can work together. Does this work for you?

Hi Giant,

We've gotten final designs from our two other top designers (yes, Bordo is one of them, but we don't know who will be No. 1 yet) and we are just waiting on your logos. Please send them over when you have a chance, and we can then go through our internal review process to pick a winner. Looking forward to seeing them. Thanks!

Thank you for the updates (#308, #309, #310)

These designs feel a little less certain of themselves. We do appreciate the updated shape in #309 and #310. #310 is probably better in terms of cohesion, but we still want to explore the idea of the dots doing a GRADUAL transformation from the icon to the text. Basically, we want to take your original concept in #72 and make it more developed.

Have you thought about a different alignment to the icon than just centering it above the text? Maybe it looks better if the orange is pouring onto a different portion of the text. Also, try having a smooth transition from a silver area to an orange area of the icon. It's important to keep a 3D look, though.

Our favorite part about #310 is how the orange lines have a very natural, organic flow to them. We really like this sort of fluid transition. How can you modify #310 to look more natural? The black space between the silver pieces doesn't feel good. Try also playing with the shape and make it something besides a square, like we have been asking repeatedly.

Also, please let us see your logos on a white background to make sure they work.

Time is running short, so we're hoping to see your final designs soon. We should have a decision ready by the middle of the week. Looking forward to your submissions. Thanks, Giant!
