What We Do
Luxious Design is a boutique lighting design firm based in Los Angeles and Boston that creates, designs, directs, and executes lighting arrangements for concerts, theatrical performances, corporate trade shows, business meetings, and environment/architectural installations.

Color Preferences
We are not married to any specific colors, however, we probably do not want to see Purple, Orange, or Green. We would like bold colors, but NOTvibrant/neon/fluorescent. We will be using the logo online, in print, and on various "Swag" elements, including embroidery and/or silk-screening.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
Please avoid "beams of light" or other literal lighting references.

Above all, we want to convey that we're creative types who will work hard to get the job done. Definitely need to express the concepts of "boutique" and "high-end" and "great customer support."

Please, no literal "beams of light." (Subtle references to light are ok, but no beams or literal shadows... it's too overdone.). Thanks!

More specific feedback coming soon.... Thanks for your patience.

Do you have a preference to the logos being on a white or black background? Over black the concepts look quite luminous which is great but is it important that they work on white just as well?

Great question!

We do tend to prefer the dark/black backgrounds--BUT, the logo really needs to work equally well on a white/light background. If that means inverting some of the colors to make that work, that's fine--but we definitely need it to look good on both backgrounds.

We'll be using the logo on a wide variety of elements (web, print, stationery, clothing, promotional items, etc.), so the more flexibility we have the better!

Hi Everyone--

Thanks for the submissions so far! Now that we're getting into this, we are thinking that the "coffee ring" idea is not carrying us through as much as we'd like. So... we'd definitely be interested in seeing other concepts and designs. In other words, we definitely don't want to limit you!

Thanks!

Mare & Berekely --

I'm not quite sure I understand what is going on. Did we do something to offend? (If so, please let us know what it we did so we can apologize and make it right!).

Or is Berkeley just "protecting" his design by withdrawing it?

Thanks,
Andrew

Andrew,

i think that he did the right thing couse you will have more unique designs and not just lots of copy's of N1 ranked. I did the same in earlyer contest.
The admin is still working on a solution for this problem, hopefully he will make it soon.

Cheers,
Mare

Hi Everyone --

Thanks for the flurry of new designs, and thanks for your patience as we work to provide constructive feedback on all of them. By the end of the day I plan to have more specific responses to all the new designs, as well as an update on the ranking!

Thanks again,
Andrew

Hey Everyone --

Thank you for the deluge of new entries in the last few hours of our contest. Please be patient with us as we're struggling to keep up with the sheer volume!

Please note that, in deference to the fantastic designers that have been working so hard with/for over for the past week, that any new designs that are submitted (especially from "new" designers just jumping in late in the game) need to be substantively different than any other previously submitted designs!

If you blatantly copy someone else's design, I will just mark it as "Not Interested." Please save us all some time!

Thanks,
Andrew

I just wanned to brief up my mark for "lighting design experts" Luxious Design". I mark is based on lighting which is subtly told through #302 #303 #304 #305 . Just incase you missed the concept behind the logo, the monogram consists of the lit up "D" and "L" forms the shadow. This concept fits your firms initials and nature of business perfectly like in a jigsaw puzzle. Kindly reconsider the design and the concept behind it. The mark is a good wordplay than just a naive combination of letters.

I would like to request to particularly review #304 a monogram of LD which i believe would work really well for Luxious Design, a lighting design expert. I just hope that you havent overlooked the lighting and shadow concept of the mark.
