Falcon GraphicsLogo Design Contest

Hi everyone. Thank you all for your great work. We like a lot of the designs we've seen so far, and we're fortunate to have so many talented people all working to bring forth the perfect logo for Falcon Graphics.

We have decided to extend the contest for two reasons: To allow ourselves more time to decide on the kind of style we want, and to allow all of you to update your submissions to more closely fit our needs.

There are a couple of points which we'd like everyone to note:

1) The primary question we ask ourselves when deciding rank is, "Does it look good on our website?" To answer this, we NEED logos that are:
- on a BLUE BACKGROUND (the same as the screenshot of our homepage), and
- much wider than they are tall (so that they fit in the top left area of the homepage, on the same line as the navigation bar)

2) The majority of logos we have thus far received include some variation of a bird image. Many of these look good -- but we now have too many to choose from, and not enough other, original ideas. We really want to see MORE ABSTRACT submissions. Simple, elegant, and powerful, they need to convey the idea that we are a modern, capable business that meets our customers' demands on time. Please take a moment to step back, think things over, and come back to us with some unique, amazing ideas.

With just over 3 days left in the contest, we're confident that you will have enough time to submit some wonderful new logos for us. Good luck to everyone, and we look forward to seeing what you've really got!

Now that the contest is over, we want to say something to every designer that submitted a logo:

THANK YOU! Your talent and hard work has been tremendous! You have made it possible for us to have an amazing variety of choices in our search for the perfect logo to represent Falcon Graphics.

Almost 500 logos from designers in at least 23 countries have been submitted in the last 10 days. We will now be taking a short break before returning to judge the final entries, so that we can come back with fresh minds and new sets of eyes. Until then, please keep this in mind:

EVERYONE IN THE SHORTLIST has the potential to be our #1 pick. The current ranking order is far from being final.

We will be sending messages to our top choices and potentially asking you to revise your logo(s) for us. We hope you will be as eager to do this as you were to submit your entries.
