Hi there, thanks so much for your submissions. Here is the reasoning behind the current rankings:
1) #78 has too much of a docile, perhaps even feminine, feeling. We want to appear more aggressive than this.
2)
#74 is a very nice, modern design, but when we tried it on our website (which involved moving the graphic to the left of the text), it did not work too well. Additionally, the falcon's head looks a bit like a snake or some other strange animal.
3)
#57 has a simple, elegant, modern graphic, which looks well when placed on the website, but will look equally good in print. It is one of our leading choices in this contest so far.
We would like to see a few variations of
#57: Three which have the graphic to the left of the text, one of them with the text being left-aligned, another with it justified (these three versions will be tested on the website); and one which is on a white background (this version will be tested in print). Remember, the most important thing is for it to look good on the website, which means the whole design must be much wider than it is tall, to accommodate the available space (see the screenshot; the logo goes in the top left, vertically aligned with the navigation bar). Also, try experimenting with other fonts to see what goes well with the web page.
Please take these points into consideration, but please also continue to think of novel ideas to try. We like your style thus far, and are eager to see what else you can come up with. Thanks!
