Vibe CommerceLogo Design Contest

Thanks everyone for submitting your entries so far. The direction is starting to solidify as seen in the top few designs. I'm seeing a lot of plain old fonts just slapped together, which can work, but I think the winning design is going to end up having some creative element worked in -- like the "V" in #77 and #28 or the cart in #76. I'm not particularly looking for a cart graphic to get worked into the logo, but if it can cleverly pay homage to the shopping cart, I'm open to that. Please don't hesitate to interact with me as you submit designs. I'm trying to be honest and constructive about the entries, and respond quickly. I appreciate everyone's time, this is a fun process.

Hi brandito. I see that you entered the 3D logo, tilted, with the word vibe sitting in the cart. I don't say this in any way to demean your abilities, I'm only basing it on what was presented versus what I am looking for. To be honest, it's not close to what I need. I don't think that it conveyed any trust or ease of use, it looked very dated and amateurish. As I have told many of the designers (being one myself) I really appreciate everyone's time and efforts in this process. To address your comment.... I'm not a retailer, I'm a developer, so trust and ease of use really actually apply more to my clients' sites than mine. I have to be marketable and intriguing the first second they land on my page in order to qualify me as relevant. Please feel free to submit another entry the is closer to what's currently in the top 8. Thanks

just a general note to anyone entering or resubmitting... I've received a lot of great logos, thanks again for everyone's efforts. That said, I'm not looking for a font that is perfectly circular - namely in the b and e. I didn't realize this going in, but after seeing numerous entries, I'm looking for tighter angles and curves without being pointy... no sharp edges, but no round letters. make sense? thanks, keep up the good work.

Have you decided on different colors other than the burnt orange?

no, it's just that a couple came in with a slight green cast to them that looked appealing. I'm more interested in the design than colors (since I can change colors later). good question though.

Also note, I will comb through past entries and make sure I give a ranking to many more than what arecurrently ranked. I'm just trying to keep it organized at the moment. Thanks

I'm having trouble keeping up with all the last minute entries, so I will only be commenting on entries that I want to see revisions on. Sorry to those I can't comment on today, it's taking so much time to go through them all. (And logotournament needs to update their UI to make it a little easier :)
