Ops, I got a typo. Here's fixed entry.

Nice entry! Real sharp and balanced. I'd like to see the envelope pushed just a little bit... I need there to be something creative or clever about it. This logo is very nice, but feels a touch safe. It doesn't have to symbolize something per se, even elements of symmetry or placement can work. I'd also like to see a non-italic font on 'commerce'. Thanks

Updated b and dot above i, so it's more unique. Small changes to overall composition. I'm posting b&w version, just for visual comparison.

I like the 'commerce' to the right underneath. B and I changes are subtle and fine. It's a very safe logo, any way you could think of to push the envelope a little and give it some more edge?

Well, I did #214 with your last feedback in mind.

#214 looks decent. I'm hoping to stay away from the log being married to a background or container shape... this is my issue with these logos right now. They are nice, but the background is the big issue. Unfortunately the background container looks good with the logo... and without it... it might be too boring.

Actually, not as boring as generic :( That's why I decided to go with background shapes to make it different comparing other logos at this contest.

#247 It's ok. I feel it's still married to that negative space though. Thanks for the revision
