What We Do
The Local Source Market is a small-format, farm-to-market grocery store rooted in community, sustainability, and vintage charm—with a bold, modern twist. We curate fresh, local, and ethically sourced groceries, refillables, and gifts, all while supporting independent farmers, ranchers, and small-batch makers in and around Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Our target audience is values-driven and community-minded—college students, young families, locals seeking clean products, and anyone craving a more joyful and intentional way to shop.
Visually and emotionally, we’re not “farmhouse” or rustic—we’re 70s retro sunshine.
Think: hand-painted signs, warm colors, bold fonts, market awnings, and a playful-but-purposeful vibe. Our brand is nostalgic without being old-fashioned—more like a mini neighborhood grocer with Woodstock energy and soul.

Color Preferences
We’re inspired by a retro palette that blends warmth, joy, and nature. The colors should feel like sunshine, soil, and soul.
Our ideal logo palette includes:
• Dusty turquoise / minty teal – grounding, fresh, and vintage
• Goldenrod / warm mustard – radiant and cheerful, like morning sun
• Muted peach and coral – approachable, earthy, and modern
• Deep terracotta or rust – rich and soulful, like Oklahoma red clay
• Cream or off-white – for contrast and balance
The tones should feel 70’s nostalgic but not old-fashioned—vintage, not dated. No neon, no primary colors, and nothing that leans corporate or sterile. Think: sun-faded murals, desert rainbows, and old-school diners that smell like fresh coffee and good intentions.
We’re going for a color story that’s both fun and meaningful—happy but rooted.

Our Ideas & Additional Information
WOULD LOVE TO SEE SOME ORIGINAL IDEAS!
We imagine a playful, retro-inspired logo that feels like a hug from your community. Think 70s sunshine vibes meets modern micro-grocer.
Key concepts:
• A striped market awning shape—symbolizing the small market and small-town charm.
• A sunrise and/or rainbow arc to represent renewal, hope, and local abundance.
• Funky, warm typography—something with curvy Ls (in L ocal) and R (in sou R ce) , giving it a vintage flair without being hard to read.
We want this logo to be instantly recognizable—whether printed on reusable totes, exterior signage, or Instagram posts. It should feel joyful, rooted, and real—like the kind of store your grandma would love, but your coolest friend would shop at.
Avoid anything that feels too farmhouse, corporate, or polished. This is not Magnolia Market. It’s more sunshine-and-soul with a side of refillable shampoo.
