This contest is going great! I see a lot of great logos. When I rank these logos you may assume that you should look at the #1, 2 and 3 ranked logo and follow them but I dont recommend you do that, exactly. They may be ranked 1, 2 or 3 because they at least followed the brief and tried to include engineering, physics, precision etc in the design, had great starts that I thought could be morphed into the winning logo with some coaching.
Each logo within the top 30 will be getting a personal email from me as to what they can do to win tonight. The logos ranked 30 - will get an email tomorrow afternoon with come coaching. What 30 - is likely to see is that they should read the brief again and try a different design strategy.
The key thing to remember are:
1. This logo is designed to appear on a shoe. Therefore it has to be dense. If you were a top track athlete, soccer mom or NBA star you would want to be align with this shoe, bottle of vitamins or web site because the logo suggests no nonsense products, no marketing hype (typical of the footwear industry these days) and only footwear that improved your health according to the laws of nature, physics, engineering and common sense.
2. NO sword people. I see sword people in a few logo designs.
3. Stick to the colors I designated.
4. Try to incorporate some kind of enginnering or physics into the logo
5. The logo should be moving or moves something. I prefer spring or leaf spring propulsion, extension springs, or symbolistic engineering or physics symbol
Dont be afraid to try something you just think is energetic and cool over the engineering and physics concept.
Thank you for all of your efforts I want you to win
