Discussion

Good morning

Thank you very much for submitting these beautiful logos. First of all I'd like to thank you for these reading the brief to determine what we're looking for in these logos. Your design entry number 38 and number 116 were very good and have the potential to be winners.

By like about 138 is its simplicity however it's difficult to get the graphic that's above that team doctors lettering to the left. the other thing that is interesting about that logo is that you have the half moon red object on top of the straight line when in reality the human foot is a leaf spring that works with the half Moon facing the opposite direction. What you might want to do is look at the illustrations and note the leaf spring mechanism that's drawn to emulate the human foot arch mechanism. They be there is a way that you can symbolically duplicate that mechanism somehow. If possible try it with and without the extension springs and see if it's possible to condense it a little bit more so that it can be seen on the left side adjacent to the T. and the team doctors and not always on the top

The foot with the graphic configurations is supercool. I really like what you did with that and think it's got some potential. The only problem that I'm finding is that I'm wondering how that logo is going to work on a shoe when you have to have it stitched onto the product. What I'm recommending here is that you take this logo and simplify it. I like the circles in the middle of the ankle joint and the mp joint. buy also like the tie-ins of the line between them. What's also interesting is you have a half moon larger semi circle that goes from the bottom of the logo to the center of the sub Taylor joined circle and extending to the front of the square. That line is quite ineffective imagery for way that the foot is going to project itself as a spring-loaded mechanism what I would do with that is I would roll back lying down more and flatten it more. I'm trying to describe is the best that I can. What I would do is I would put a lying at the top left corner of the blue box in a very slight half Moon direction down through the center circle with the curve of the line reducing more and more as it got towards the ground and ending up being perpendicular to the straight line that goes right directly through the circle that starts at the top of the skin at the ankle joint the very most top line in the logo. And then draw another line that similar to that one that shows the bounce off from the ground projecting the foot fall word with the spring mechanism. I would not put a spring in this logo it will complicate it too much. What I'm recommending is more of a simpler engineering drawing of how the foot projects through space when it springs down and springs off the ground.

⤵↗

This is what I am talking about with the second arrow bending more towards the middle of the box propelling up and more forward rather than on a 45 degree angle.

what we're trying to portray here are some sort of blueprint's physics/engineering concept with the products and services. What might be interesting is to give it that blueprint look however it may or may not be appropriate for a pair of shoes. See if you can make it more symbolic and clean it up with less lines so that it can be made smaller for footwear without making it impossible to get the logo stitched in as a design is because it's too small.

I'm here to help you I want you to win. So if you have any questions or would like to throw some thoughts back and forth the honest feedback form please do not hesitate to do so. As far as the circular designs I would focus more on the first two designs number 38 and number 116.

thank you so much for taking the time to read the briefing and presenting logo designs that are actually what we're looking for. It certainly does help to streamline the process between myself and the designers as well as between myself and you wants again thank you very much for everything and I hope to see your designs morphed into the winner

Thank you

Thank you for the ranking & the detailed feedback.
I will keep all of that i mind while creating my revisions.
I did actually think about how something too detailed might not work in
a small scale on a shoe, but I just wanted to get that design out there as a starting point.
I am actually going to be away from my design computer this afternoon, but as long
as one of my designs are still in the top 5, I will still be able to submit new or revised designs.
While I'm out, I'll keep your your comments in mind & make mental notes of what I can do.
Hopefully I'll be able to create the perfect logo for you.
Thanks again,
Don

Hi Dr. Stoxen,
Thanks for the top ranking, I completely understand that it does not mean that I'm automatically
going to win, but it does definitely help with my confidence motivation.
I just entered #157, I know that is not a variation of the #116, but it is what I was thinking
of while I was away from the computer. I just wanted to get it submitted asap so the
idea would not get away from me. I'll get to work on some variation of#116 now based
on your feedback.
Thanks again,
Don

Re: #159
I don't expect to have nailed it right away (if I did though, awesome!)
I simplified the lines & hopefully came up with what you had in mind.
I also changed the shape of the blue box a little just for added interest
instead of just having a basic rounded corner box, if you prefer the
first box, no problem, I can easily go back to that.
Another thought I had was to possibly utilize two images for the logo,
one with the blueprint lines which could be used in print & website.
And the other being a very simple graphic of the other to be used
on the shoes. (shown as #160)
Please let me know your thoughts.
Thanks,
Don

Hi Don

Logo 159

The arrow coming from the left corner of the box is supposed to show the direction of the foot as it lands. It does not start at the corner then fall directly to the ground in a perpendicular vertical descent. The body is in a forward motion so it first takes off at about 35 degrees then it becomes effected by gravity pulling it towards earth so the line bends down until it hits the center of the bottom of the box under the mid foot.

Then what the line does is it takes off again at a 35- 45 degree angle up then it is effected by gravity so it bends down to the middle of the box on the left

You have the line-arrow on the left too vertical The line on the right needs to start to the right of the impact point where the line on the left ends and it extends to the middle of the box on the right.

Also what can be done with these lines of movement to make them more exciting? thicker? engineering like appearance?

We are making progress

Thank you

Thanks, I'm trying to wrap my mind around this.
I don't doubt that you are explaining it as well as you can, it's just
that my major is in graphic design & not orthopedics :)
I'll do my best to make this correct & post the revised design asap.
Thanks,
Don

Closer

#188

The arrow starts at the upper right corner of the box
The arrow projects down like you have it a little further back of the center of the bottom line
The arrow projects through the mid foot and not the forefoot like you have it

The mid foot is the junction of the metatarsals and the cunieforms Google foot anatomy

This is where the action is for the spring mechanism of the foot

The forefoot is the metatarsals and other small bones (toes)

The arrow goes to the middle of the left margin of the box and not the lower half of the left margin of the box

Almost there

Thanks for the latest feedback.
Here are a couple revisions... #196 & #197

Hi

You did the opposite of what I recommended

I said start at the upper left corner of the box with the line

I said end at the middle of the right border of the box

Hi

I also said put the line through the center of the ankle circle

Sorry I misunderstood, but from your feedback from 11-20 8:17pm reading:

"The arrow starts at the upper right corner of the box
The arrow projects down like you have it a little further back of the center of the bottom line
The arrow projects through the mid foot and not the forefoot like you have it

The mid foot is the junction of the metatarsals and the cunieforms Google foot anatomy

The arrow goes to the middle of the left margin of the box and not the lower half of the left margin of the box"

That's what I thought you wanted, It doe's say that the arrow starts at the upper right corner of the box, correct?

I will swap the arrow & make it go through the center of the ankle circle when I get back to my design computer later tonight.

Don

Yes, I will change that line when I get back to my design computer tonight (approx. 6pm)

Looking forward to hearing the results.

Also wanted to ask you, any preference between the blue box on #218 vs the slanted box (like #197)?

Hi there

I selected you the winner of the contest because my Facebook friends said your design was the best.

What I would like from you is a final design with these changes you could not get done:

1. the line white instead of light blue
2. The graphic (blueprint) to be the height of the Team Doctors with Team Doctors stacked and also a version with it linear. (all on one line)

Please forward these to team doctors@aol.com and I hope you don't mind refining the design for me as I made this contest more than double the prize of all other contests :)

Is that ok? You can call me at 312 375 7303
