Top Three Things to Communicate
#1 - Sermons / Preaching…
#2 - …that can be listened to…
#3 - …for free…
Our Target Audience:
Primarily church webmasters, and church leaders. Also other Christians.
Color Preferences
The current colour is #2277DD, which I quite like, but I am very happy for any other suggestions.
Our Ideas and Additional Information:
IMPORTANT: At the end of the content I will need TWO different copies of the logo. The first will be the one described here. The second will be identical, but with the words "Preaching Central" in place of "Sermon Browser".
Preaching Central will be a website where sermons from the Sermon Browser plugin will be listed.
It's therefore important that the Sermon Browser logo conveys a message about Preaching and Sermons, NOT about Wordpress or being a plugin.

Diamond Contest
We're sorry, but this contest is presently open to a limited pool of designers.
I like the more 'active' logos which give the impression of listening/speaking.
I like the blue, but it doesn't have to be blue. I don't like the combination of blue/yellow.
Any imagery that is used should related directly to the concept of a sermon, e.g. a bible, a puplit, a preacher. Other 'religious' imagery is not wanted, though a cross can perhaps be useful to stop a bible looking like an ordinary book.
Let me add some more thoughts to help designers. As I mentioned above, I like logos which visualise listening/speaking. The 'soundwaves' element does this well, but please don't feel restricted to that. Other design elements that I'd want to consider would be 'play' buttons, headphones, mp3 player or microphone, or anything else you feel conveys that concept.
Just a note on ranking: #58 #25 and #26 are all roughly tied at the moment, but of course I can't do that! #17 and #1 could join them with just a little something extra. Other designers looking to emulate their success should note that I like the Web 2.0 feel, and those subtle gradient and 3D effects are what I'm looking for.
Thanks for all the terrific entries. It will be a hard time judging. At the moment, it is very likely one of the logos currently ranked 1-3 will win, but which one, I really don't know! Those ranked 4-8 are also in with a shout.
Thanks for the great contest - there were some really great logos there, and it was a shame I couldn't award a prize to the top three entries. But I had to choose a winner, and zero5150 came up with just the right combination of simple elements in a great looking design.
