In this design I have used modern mp3 style headphones and the O in sermon as the play dial. I have kept the book and cross very simple and easily recognisable. If you wish to see any variations or revisions please let me know.

Thanks for entry #70 - it's a nice variation. However, it's not quite working for me. I think the wire takes attention away from what else is going on, and the "o" looks a little bit too like a livesaving ring at small sizes. I would be interested in seeing other designs with a similar concept, but this one doesn't quite work.

Thanks so much for the feedback on my previous entry.
Here is a new concept for you. I think the message is much more clear here. I have incorporated a cross into the play button and given it a 3d glossy feel. Hope this floats your boat a little more :)
Let me know if you wasnt any variations.
Cheers

Similar concept to last entry. Here I have incorporated a sermon book, cross, play button, soundwaves and tied it together in the Ichthys christian fish symbol. Again more than happy to make any revisions.
Thanks

I like #72 which I'm going to shortlist for consideration. It currently doesn't appeal to me quite as much as some of the others, but it's definitely very good. If you are able to improve it more, it may make it to the top - one suggestion, I prefer a sans-serif cross.
