Color Preferences
Wide open. Some very interesting color combinations are available at www.colourlovers.com. Please submit al entries on an all-white/transparent backdrop.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
Please do NOT base your design on something that has already been submitted. Many of the current entries are adequate, but I am looking for better. The logo should be impressive, readable and communicate the right tone "at a glance".

The "right tone" is hopeful, inspirational, and professional.
It should be soothing, comforting, welcoming upon viewing.
The logo should appeal equally to men and women.

MAKE SURE YOU CAN READ "COUNSELING GROUP" (NOT TOO SMALL) --- & No eyeballs please

#1-3 bydonderstorm: While I mentioned liking the Ambient font, it is not the only font I'm willing to consider, of course. Main comments are that 1) I am not crazy about the secondary color, and 2) The overall appearance may be too astronomical/lunar, suggesting nighttime (which is dark, more gloomy) and an eclipse (which metaphorically does not relate clearly to counseling). I like the use of all caps for "counseling group". Design definitely has potential.

Yes, I figured out how to comment privately to each designer after making my initial post. All commentary from here on out will be made in private. I always should add that, though I said NO RED, I am actually open to the color MAROON, similar to the color used in Tibetan Buddhist robes. The style of the clinic, overall, is somewhat asian, though not specifically so. An Asian/minimalist feel would be in keeping with the atmosphere of New Visions.

Hi Jason,
your last comment, do you mean you want a pictoral logo or have you added a pictoral logo for us to see?

I meant that I am open to pictoral marks. nothing specific in mind. Also, please upload all images on an ALL WHITE background. Thank you!

I'd even be open to a simple pictoral mark that focused on "NV", alongside or beside which could appear "new visions counseling group".

Please do not try to copy or approximate designs that have already been submitted. You'll stand a better chance of winning this contest if you get creative and come up with something original. Read the brief a couple times to get a better sense of the very general things I am looking for. I waiting for a design that makes me say "wow, that's awesome" when I see it.

FYI... Strict rankings are only accurate for the top 10 - 20 at this time. I have grouped similar designs together for ease of comparison.

Anyone want to play with the initials NVCG in the logo as the pictoral mark?

If anyone wants to play around with this image.... I had a dream last night of a logo. Let's see if I can explain this right. I saw the silhouette of a man holding a child on his hip, both fairly small. Both of them were looking toward and up at a large piece of abstract art. The artwork was diagonal streaks of bands of colors like a meteor shower, but kind of textural (as if done in paint). Something like a Jackson Pollock could also work as a replacement. Anything abstract might do. The figures (again, really small compared to the work of art) were right of center and the piece of art was horizontal. I didn't see the text in the logo, just this image, so that could be a challenge. Maybe the text could be superimposed on the left-hand side of the artwork, or simply placed alongside this pictoral mark. Anyway, I'd be curious to see it, if anyone is interested. I like the symbolism of this image a lot.

How are you doing ? hope you are doing great. As this contest is about to come to an end, and you will be chosing the best new logo for your company, i just wanted to have your attention to some important point that you might be aware of or might not. I hope i am not miss understood by pointing out this to you and that you understand.

When the contest ends and you have made your mind and desicion about the winner logo, the winner gets the 1st place, but the 2nd and 3rd place and going on forward, 4th, 5th, 6th , etc , each one or slot should be filled with a seperate designer and different concept you found second best, third best to follow etc.

This helps towards us designers ranking and also it is a way from you to show your appreciation to the hard effort and trails put from the beginning by one designer or appreciating a nice design concept put earlier by a designer that led to developing on right direction for others and you getting the best you could at the end.

It feels frasturating for other designers and pointless of giving all the top rankings for same winner designer, while those were just a small variations of the winning design and therefore the other places 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc are not filled with different designs from a different designer.

So i hope you understood my point i was just trying to point out to you here and all the best of luck in chosing your winner logo, there are really good ones out there.

please take a moment to rank your contest in fair and just manner..it will go along way when you decide to start another....simply because more designers will participate if they know a contest will be judged fairly.

Best Regards,
