Its a symbol formed from a " NV " where the " V " intersects with the " N " forming a body icon hands up with the head being part of the intersected " N " .
#181 , my best so far, this can be looked at in many ways and i am sure u will notice that at the first glance.
its the " NV " connected together. they could be looked at as chairs or bodies of human. Now the two heads on top of them, are facing each other, therapist and patient.
The " V " curve could be looked at as a catching hand, where the patient is sitting ( facing the therapist on the other side " N " of the chair )
let me know your feedback on that one. hope you like it and the concept behined executing it.
#184 and #185 are my favorites, since it is clear that it is two people facing each other. #180 is interesting, except that it looks like two people about to kiss. Playing around with some colors might be a good idea, since the blues seem too traditionally medical/hospital-like to me. I'l get Hayden's feedback tomorrow and see what he has to say.
Could you do an NV, like what you have now, but where the inside edges of each letter form the silhouette of two faces looking toward each other? The V would be more like I/. Did that even make sense? (kinda similar to the vase/profile illusion by Edgar John Rubin)
Yes Jason, i could possibly work that out and do it for you, i'll have different colors combination for your favourites and will provide you with that one option with the inside edges being silhouette of two faces looking toward each other as well, glad u liked it.
Interesting. I think the vase part of the vase/profile illusion needs to be more symmetrical for it to work. What if you separated the N and I/ to create more space/room between the letters for the faces? I ranked the black version only because it was the most legible, though it is not necessarily my favorite color wise.
#249. No, I like the silhouette you have. More black on the vertical parts of N V would be nice though. Also... I posted a comment on the contest page about a dream I had. Check it out if you want.
Oops. You withdrew the one that had the color scheme that was my favorite. Just because I don't rank some of them does not mean that I am not considering them. I think it was #234 but not sure. I'd prefer if you wouldn't withdraw some because they can help me as points of reference. But maybe you have your reasons. If you want to withdraw the ones with the plant motif, that'd be okay by me.
Just wanted to say, I like #249 a lot. It's got a lot of symbolic elements and looks really clean and balanced. You have the chalice (communion) and the therapist could be seen as a grounded and balanced symbol on the left (facing down) while the client is an open and receptive symbol (facing up.) It's also very easy to change the color scheme on this design if you wanted to try out some different looks. All of this on top of conveying "NV" as well!
#257 is just an abstract trail on your vision, where the " V " is forming the man and the child on his lap, both looking upwards towards the falling stars.
The " V " for " Vision " is highlighted in name with same color as in logo, and " New " is lighter grey as the focus is on " Vision " and them " Visioning " for a better future.
Hope you like this one, let me know your feedback.
On all my logos, i try to keep it stylish and elegant and corporate in a way.
Thanks for taking a stab at the new logo (from the dream). First of all, forget what I said about the meteor shower. I didn't mean that literally. As for the silhouette, I was picturing something more exact (the actual outline of a person holding a child on their hip), rather than a stylized version. Will send private message.
#269 and #270 , looking good in black and white too ! which is an indication that its a strong logo and would work on any color variations we want to go with too.
again, i made sure its all corporate / proffisional look, and if you see the details of the head of the man and his child, you would feel it so real and alive with those little curves i did to it.
the abstract could be anything you want, sun, space, something in the future, a vision they are looking towards.
let me know your feedback on this, hope you like it.
Hmmm.... the feet ARE a challenge. And I'm not sure the silhouette is quite understandable enough. Potential? Maybe. But it may just not be that good of an idea. The "artwork" design would be important, so maybe you could try some stuff with that. Dolphin Press's design #274 is closest to what I saw in my dream.
What if you put the left face on the right vertical side of the N, and the right face on the left vertical of V ( I/), so that both faces extend (chin to crown) from the bottom to the top of both letters? If I'm not explaining this well, I can send you a drawing.
