Our Ideas & Additional Information
Looking for something a little "industrial". Like something you would see on a can of paint or motor oil. .A no nonsense type of logo that will do well in the action sports industry.Think BMX or skateboards. I have a Pinterest page here with some inspirations: http://www.pinterest.com/sabinedukes/esi-graphics-inspirations/ Update: not really interested in paddle or surfboard imagery. Also, I am open to any ideas you have so feel free to experiment.

Hi All! Thank you all for the great designs. I talked to the partner on this and he thinks we are going too heavy on the industrial look. He would like it to look less factory and more small business type industry. Soften it a little. Could be retro/vintage but does not have to. Still wants the simplicity and the blue collar look, just not so "machine". I have updated the Pinterest page for ideas
http://www.pinterest.com/sabinedukes/esi-graphics-inspirations/

I am going to go through the logos and make comments to this effect and see if there are ways to work with things you have already done. However, we are not abandoning the high ranked ones yet at this time either!

Notes:
Please no crossed sticks/paddles/surfboards! I am trying hard to make this not look too much like the the hipster logo generator.

Probably would prefer no surfboard or bike imagery, but ocean/mountain/animal might be ok

Its okay to use color!

Its okay to do something that you don't see here. Have a great idea? I'd love to see it.

HI All!

I said this in the comments to a few folks, so I want to put it here so everyone can see:

This brand will be marketed to the skateboard/bmx type crowd. Not kids, but adults who think they are. Anyway, that market usually appreciates something simple, authentic and something that you don't see everywhere else. We also want to convey a kind of blue collar/home workshop kind of vibe.

The logo should also be simple enough that it can easily be placed on tshirts, hats etc.

Thank you everyone for all your hard work! This is my 4th contest here and I am always impressed!

Thank you for your submissions! If you are considering a last minute submission, please no more variations of the same ideas. Last minute submissions should just lob any crazy idea at us. Whats a crazy idea? Maybe a simplistic outline or silhouette of an angler/latern fish worked into the logo. Or, find a way to make organic elements like trees. mountains, ocean work in a non organic cool bmx type logo.

Or open to any other crazy ideas you might have! We provide feedback and thanks to all entries and love seeing all of the creativity. We are liking the blue collar/workshop type vibe overall. Simple is best. Other than that, let it fly!

Also, please don't withdraw unranked submissions. We will likely save any further ranking until the end.
