Maybe a coyote? We actually have many of them here and they are well, little rascals! Or some other edgy animal. Raccoon. Animals people don't like work best for this. I think. We are going for the bmx/skateboard crowd. Here is the type of imagery they are used to. I don't necessarily want ours to be that dark or juvenile, but it gives an idea of the edginess.
