#8 I like the swirly wave thing in the middle. I think I want to keep paddle and board imagery out of the logo though (since everyone does that!) Maybe a mountain instead? or a redwood. Also is there a way of making that wave just a little less organic? Thank you so much for your entry
#15 I really like the idea of the mountain in the wave. I have a couple of possible changes. The mountain you have looks like the Alps, or the Matterhorn. Our mountains here are a little less jagged peak. Not sure if that can be worked in somehow. if not, then something symbolizing a redwood would work too. Here's our mountains: http://www.naturefocused.com/archives/big_basin/fog-view.jpg
Thank you!! Could I see #39 without the faded font. Something similar to the font in #6? These are great by the way. I love the concept. Just having a hard time reconciling the industrial look we are going for with that somewhat organic icon. But I really like what that icon symbolizes, so trying to see how to make it work
I posted a comment about this on the main page. but just in case you did not see it, I will copy it here:
Hi All! Thank you all for the great designs. I talked to the partner on this and he thinks we are going too heavy on the industrial look. He would like it to look less factory and more small business type industry. Soften it a little. Could be retro/vintage but does not have to. Still wants the simplicity and the blue collar look, just not so "machine". I have updated the Pinterest page for ideas http://www.pinterest.com/sabinedukes/esi-graphics-inspirations/
I am going to go through the logos and make comments to this effect and see if there are ways to work with things you have already done. However, we are not abandoning the high ranked ones yet at this time either!
I really like the star wave in #167. I'm not super keen on the font though. I'd like to see it with a few other options. Thank you!
#162, I LOVE the redwood in the star. A lot. But I don't like the font as well. Maybe its too artdeco. I'd love to see this with some other options as well.
I also like #161, but I will await your other revisions before making any other suggestions.
About entry #162 a designer in the contest asked me to remove this entry because he feels the 3 lines at the sides of the text are his concept and he can protect it, so to avoid any trouble and don't break the rules here in LT I prefer to prepare some variations with the adjustment requested and different concepts, hope you can understand:
#271 #272 #273 #274 #275
I am still liking the idea of the wave, if you are agree I can continue exploring this concept. Thanks Sabine.
I like the wave too. But its still just a little too organic. The wave in #237 and #275 is in the right direction though. What if its a half circle so it has more of a wave shape? One of my favorite wave shapes is Mavericks. Feel free to experiment with that and see if you can make the shape, but not be too organic. Also, don't worry about time as you will be in the final five. http://i.cdn-surfline.com/surfnews/images/2012/02_february/mavs/full/WAVE-2.jpg
Hi Sabine, thanks so much for select my work for the next round!
Great, I will keep this in mind this while I prepare the next proposals for you.
Really interested in know which entries really have potencial for you and which not, the I can focus just in them.
I saw in the ranking that maybe you are looking for an animal or something more detailed? I think your direction was looking for a simple an clean logo but maybe I misunderstood. I would Love to know your thoughts before I begin to work in this phase.
I appreciate your continued feedback and communication.
No, we do want simple, even in the animals. I am working on getting those animals as outlines. But I want a large variety to present. You are very much on the right track. I really like the redwood in the star. I also like the idea of the wave, depending on what you come up with.
On the redwood in the star, I like all the various placements, and haven't totally decided if I like it in the middle, on the side or on top, but really that part doesn;t matter so much.
What I would like to see is what it would look like if the redwood in the star was a little bigger. Not the whole star, just the redwood negative space portion. Also, its hard to tell from the small images we get, but I want to make certain the negative space of the redwood is as simple as possible.
thank you so much. I guess I still like the redwood from #270. But I like the space the redwood takes in the circle in #365. Could you increase the side of the redwood in #270 but keep the design the same?
