Color Preferences
Green is an obvious choice, due to the name, but it's by no means necessary. In fact, we are very interested in seeing logos based around other colors. The only color we definitely do not want to see is pink, anything else is available.

For designers already taking part and those just joining in, feel free to push the envelope. As I mentioned, while green is a good choice, don't be afraid to try other colors, as well. While the 'colorful' slider is all the way over, I just wanted to make it clear that it doesn't need to have a lot of colors in each design. That was meant more to encourage freedom with color choices.

Also, feel free to move away from the bamboo/leaves and explore other pictorial and abstract options. For instance, maybe work with a panda face or choose something not related to the name. I think there is also some possibilities to tie in water, as bamboo holds a great deal of it. We're big fans of creativity, so those implementations are going to catch our attention. But, that doesn't mean we wouldn't also like something using green and bamboo/leaves in the concept. :)

Thanks all. We're loving what we've seen so far!

In case you are not aware...you may leave individual input and ask questions for any designer by clicking on their designs and go to the 'Post Comment' box at the bottom of the page.
Also designers will leave you questions and comments at the bottom of 'their entry page' in the 'Post Comment' area as well.
Leave general instructions and input on this 'Post Comment' area on your contest wall for all designers to read.
Your individual and general input is appreciated.

Thank you

Thanks to everyone who has entered, continues to enter and has been submitting revisions. They're looking great!

A few thoughts for concepts:
- As I mentioned earlier, there may be potential to work with water and bamboo stalk/leaves together, as bamboo holds quite a bit of water.
- We're big fans of abstract graphics with visual ties to existing objects.

Looking forward to seeing what else you all come up with. Thank you!

Congrats to each designer that has made it to this phase. What we've done is greatly narrow down all the ranked logos to just those which we feel have the most potential so we can work with each of your to revise and improve upon your designs.

Here is a thought as we moving forward with this phase:
1. The graphic element must be able to stand alone and be well-balanced without placement near the name. For example, if we were to place just the graphic element on the back of a business card, it must be visually appealing enough to sit independently. Also, while we are fans of abstract, the shape itself need to be interesting. So, random is OK, but it must be appealing.

We're excited to see what you all can come up with. Be on the lookout for personalized feedback on each of your currently ranked designs.

Hi Chris,

Please note that during the Top 5 phase of your contest, only the first 5 ranked designers can upload new concepts or revisions.

Sincerely,
Andrei

Indeed, thanks for the reminder Andrei. Our plan was to get each of the remaining designers a shot. I'll bump you into the Top 5 now, so feel free to submit your concepts. Thank you!

Now that the contest has ended, I would like to thank everyone who submitted designs and revisions. We are going to review the final lineup further tomorrow and probably go through some rounds of shuffling rankings and requesting positions.

Stay tuned!
