Hi, Here's my concept for Your logo. Logo mark shows bamboo segments as increasing stats/grow of businesses that You help. On top of the third bar is leaf as indication of success. Any feedback appreciated.
Thanks Kamil. Working with bamboo stalks was part of our original brainstorming session over here at VB. Looks good so far. We had a thought about giving the bamboo stalks some similarity to skyscrapers, or the like. So they resemble bamboo, but also a skyline. Also, not sure if I like the angle of the leaf.
In terms of #15, maybe try working in another layer of messaging into graphic (right now it communicates the bamboo message and also growth). It has a lot of potential and I feel like there has to be something to make it stronger and more distinctive.
Hello, Thank You for feedback. I'm little bit "offline" on sunday, so I will try upload some new stuff tomorrow as soon as possible. With kind regards, Kamil
Feel free to take a look at the general comments I posted on the main contest page. In addition to my previous comments, that will be the feedback for now.
Thanks! Looking forward to seeing what you can come up with.
We're still looking forward to seeing what you can do based on my previous feedback. Also, you may find the following bit I posted on the main contest page helpful...
"The graphic element must be able to stand alone and be well-balanced without placement near the name. For example, if we were to place just the graphic element on the back of a business card, it must be visually appealing enough to sit independently. Also, while we are fans of abstract, the shape itself need to be interesting. So, random is OK, but it must be appealing."
While #224- #227, #232 and #233 are nice visuals, we're not sure they convey exactly what Vivid Bamboo is about. We're getting strong mechanical and protection vibes, which might fit better with a web security type business.
Any other thoughts while conveying a bit more of a creative, and possibly slightly fun/playful, image to the viewer?
#15 is certainly going in the right direction, I'm just trying to think of ways to develop that concept further to make it more likely to stand independent from the name. It may be worth playing with the placement and angle of the lead, as well, because I think that could be one aspect that is slightly off-balance.
We like #243 best and think it has lots of potential. Here is some feedback and suggested changes: 1. The visual style of the bamboo stalks (more rounded, less sharp, possibly more fun?) doesn't flow as well with the sharp lines and professional look of the leaf. Could you try giving the leaf the same visual style as the bamboo stalks? I think that will help the graphic feel visually the same. 2. We're up in the air on the intersection where the bamboo stalks and leaf come together. I realize it's a negative space technique, but I'm seeing a disconnect in the overall graphic. After re-styling the leaf, maybe try submitting a version where the leaf runs all the way down to the bottom of the graphic itself. It will visually look as though the bamboo stalks are growing out behind the leaf.
We're liking what you done so far, if you could submit some concepts addressing the above we would greatly appreciate it. Thanks so much!
I've bumped you into first because we have some feedback. We like what you did with the full-length leaf in (#249). The color, gradation and style is spot on for what we are looking for.
However, the shape of the overall graphic is striking us as a bit odd. It almost looks like the bow and smokestacks of a cruise ship. Any ideas on how to balance it out a bit more?
Here are some ideas/thoughts: - Possibly try a smaller leaf going out to the lefts? - Bring the bamboo stalk to a more vertical position?
We look forward to seeing the revisions you come up with. Talk to you soon!
