What We Do

We make the best tasting energy bars known to man, packed with all natural, functional ingredients, this bar was developed in a prairie farmhouse by an athlete and a farmer.

Top Three Things to Communicate

#1 - Funky "cool" image
#2 - Vintage Western and edgy feel, almost gothic
#3 - Active, energetic, agressive

Our Target Audience:

The athletic, health conscious individuals. Both sexes and a large range of age groups. . but people looking for an image as well, who want to relate to a philosophy of getting out there and conquering the world, doing their best even if the odds are against them.

Color Preferences

Primarily black and white, with accents colours. . .feel free to use your imagination. . ..

Our Ideas and Additional Information:

We are looking for a funky edgy image for the company. We want a tractor with wings for the logo. Almost like a tattoo in nature, (and dare I say gothic?) something with a "cool" factor that looks energetic and agressive. You can look at my blog where I've posted actual photos of our own tractor which was used for inspiration for this logo.

We are open to the logo having detail, looking painted, or having bold sweeping simple lines, use your imagination! However, it does need to be edgy and not cartoonish at all. No eyes or face, just a tractor with wings. The text for the logo will be GORP bar, should also match the feel of the logo as a whole and be more grass roots rather than corporate.

Our tag line is Think. Fly. Roar. As for the wings, we are open to your ideas. . .they can be birdlike, mechanical, or minimal styled lines. As long as they don't appear puny or taped on. They have to convey strength and power, and look like they could actually lift the tractor and make it soar. .. ! Thanks for reading my ramble, I will try my best to give constant feedback.

Hello designers. . .thanks for your submissions. . .I'm thinking the tractor needs to look like it is in motion, not static.Like the tractor is actually flying. Please nothing on the cartoonish side, I need the logo to really appeal to the younger demographic as well, something that would look cool on a shirt. . .. like an artistic tattoo feel. . .hope that makes sense. I'm thinking we should move away from the embelm and just concentrate on finding an artistic and edgy look for the tractor. Thanks so much for your designs, I encourage you to really think out of the box, this logo needs to be edgy.

If you want to see an image of our logo for The Great Gorp Project you can check out the banner on my blog at www.gorp.typepad.com I've also posted photographs of our oldest farm tractor which inspired the logo here:

http://gorp.typepad.com/the_great_gorp_project/2009/05/tractor-photos-for-logo-tournament-.html

We are happy with our current Great Gorp Project logo, that you will see on the blog, we just need a flying tractor logo with the text Gorp Bar, and potentially the tag line to put on the front of our packaging.

The packaging will be black, but we are thinking of putting a colour block behind the flying tractor to make it pop.

Thanks for all the submissions so far. .. very impressive!

In this link you provided www.gorp.typepad.com it already shows a flying tractor with wings. Sorry if i misunderstood but do you want us to recreate that same logo or something similar?

Hi Egg design. . .thanks for clarifying, no, I didn't want you to recreate the logo on the blog banner, it is simply our current logo, which I thought wasn't edgy enough. . .I gave the link to my blog because I posted pictures there of the actual tractor that inspired the logo and it was brought to my attention that some designers wanted to work from a picture that I actually owned, not something they had to pull from the internet. . .so if you go to this link: http://gorp.typepad.com/the_great_gorp_project/2009/05/tractor-photos-for-logo-tournament-.html

Scroll down and you will see my very unprofessional photos of our farms oldest tractor! You are by no means held to this image in any way, I provided it as a source of inspiration. . .you can just take the lines from the tractor, the outline, the style, or nothing at all and do your own thing. .. . .!

Hope that helps!

Thanks to everyone who has entered and has expressed interest! I just want to make sure none of you feel like you absolutely HAVE to use the tractor images I've provided on my blog. .. they were just meant as inspiration. . .If you can draw/illustrate or see a different vision in your head of this concept please feel free to use your skills!!

I would love to see an all black tribal tattoo version of this logo. . .if anyone is so inclined. .. .
