Top Three Things to Communicate
#1 - clever
#2 - subtle
#3 - artistic
Our Target Audience:
We are targeting an audience who is artistic, intelligent, appeciates clever work, and enjoys being mentally rewarded for the ability to bridge diverse ideas. We are just getting started, but head on over to woot.com - we are targeting the same type of audience that enjoys their material.
Color Preferences
Grey for its more timeless nature (some colors get too trendy and imply a time). Black for its strength. I waver between orange and blue - I like them separtely, but not necessarily together (it makes me think of elmers glue when I see them together). Not at all fond of purple.
Our Ideas and Additional Information:
The logo must absolutely, positively include a bee (it's an homage to our founder). The logo will appear at the end of short videos and documentaries (our staff will animate them in some way that you don't need to worry about) and on our web presence. I suspect that we're all too close in-house on this project to really pop out something grand and I'm excited to see your takes on the project.

Thank you all for the great work so far - there's some really wonderful ideas coming along. I just want to let everyone know that I'll be out until later in the day on Sunday. I will have iPhone access to the site (so I can see things as they come in), but I'm horrible at typing on that thing so I'll hold my comments until I return to a full sized keyboard.
i am really interested in creating some ideas for "REDACTOR STUDIO", but i'm a little confused after reading the design brief. You are looking for "Subtle" and in your brief, yet, many of the one's in the top 7 of your liking are really cool, but blatant. You all also mention that you are interested in Grey as a color preference, but have mostly Colorful in the stylistic sliders. I just wanna make sure that i head in the correct direction that you are looking for before i begin with any concepts. thanks!
OK i agree it is a korean cartoon charactor... but seriously i didn't know that i just found that cartoon on my diary's main page... & i liked that charactor n i drew it... well now i've made my own designs n posted & they are 100 % original...
@ Ambotz , You paste the link into my comment area, you've mentioned about logocourt in puplic comment area, but you've forgotten to Private Message me, Please next time inform before taking these kind of actions thanx,.
Hey ztrew, sorry for the late reply - I keep forgetting to check here. Yes, I know I have some concept conflicts - I'm hoping for some brilliant combination of subtle and blantant ;). Serioulsy, I'm looking for a sbutle concept hidden in an obvious one - a payoff for taking a second look. I realize that's a lot, but I've seen some great stuff so far, so I think we can get there. I like color as in one or two brights with a grey, but not over-the-top 256 colors - that gets to be too much. Thanks for the questions - I hope that cleared things up, but let me know if there's still something fuzzy.
