I like the R for the bee wing/stripes but I didn't pick it up right away. Perhaps we need to get the R on the body and the R in the text more in the same style and spacially closer to each other in the design. The fisheye effect on the serif font makes it a bit hard for me to read. I do like the arial-ish font in studions and the color combo of blue and dark grey are nice. It makes the bee less threatening. The waveform in #3 doesn't connect for me.
I like the playful energy in the loops in #11 more that the flatter flight path of the other two. The larger studios in 10 and 12 is a nicer balance of the two words. I'm not sure which R and Redactor color matching/non-matching works for me. When they are the same color, I lose the punch of the R, and when they are different it feels like there is not an attachment between the two.
Here I added a gradient on the R and darkened Redactor so they are similar but don't compete as much, I also changed the font on the R and Redactor and made the word studio a bit bigger. Let me know what you think.
I love the idea of a more subtle representation of a bee, but we may have swung too far to the subtle. I want whatever we end up with to be bee-like enough for the bee to come immediately to mind.
