I know you probably didn't want quite such a literal representation of a bee, but I thought I'd share the idea anyway - bee in the shape of a speech bubble ...

Wow, husk, that one made me smile when I saw it! _Beautiful_ visual simplicity with a great pay-off - clever use of the speech bubble/bee combination. My thoughts on details (feel free to NOT use my suggestions - I'm in the habit of commenting only when I have a way of solving the design issue and for that I appologize) : (1) The curlyness of the font is intially off-putting to me as perhaps too feminine, however, the "o" almost makes an eye shape so it's growing on me (hmm... maybe mix fonts??). But I also like that it has a classic feel to it. (2) I want to include the word "Studios" as well, but I also hate to mess with the visual simplicity. (3) Would pointing the stinger/bubble pointer more to the left take us too far away from the voice bubble suggestion? It seems too dropped for the bee, but it seems necessary for the suggestion of a voice bubble.

I'll have a play - the O was deliberately like the eye - but there's no reason why it can't work with another font ... I thought the stinger was in stinging position - as it it was about to sting something, but I think it will still work a bit less downward pointing ... watch this space!

Ah, right, the stinging position. I'm thinking "kinder, gentler bee". ;) The position in #6 is great for the bee and even helps with the voice bubble - perfecto!! I love the capital o as the eye thing in the mixed font. I'm not sure about the actual other font (I hate it when my clients get into this mode so feel free to beat me about the head here). I like the strength that the outline/stroke gives it. I like that the font is weighty. It's awkward to read, and maybe that's my issue. On the other hand, forcing the reader to stop and look might be a good thing. I do know the "studios" feels too small (I know, I know I want clean-ness of design _and_ I want 60 million elements in there at the same time). I forgot to mention it in commets for #1, but the motion implied in the wings is terrific, as is the 3D effect on the bubble.

thank you - I do appreciate the feedback, and I think you'll find most of the designers are on this site because they love designing stuff, so keep the ideas coming, and I'll bat them back!

I think this helps the readability - filled in a few black spaces around the text, and studios is obviously larger ..... I'll look at other type as well, but for now its time to go enjoy some sun!

Enjoy the sun - we've got rain all weekend (grumble, grumble...). It definitely helps the readability, but it's making a stong horizontal line acoss the vertical bee stripes. What do you think about pulling the "studios" to be wider and closer to the redactor in width? Maybe if that became all caps too? Hmmm.... I'll ruminate on it for a day or two...

Take 4 - I prefer a smaller 'studios' tbh - working with the bubble shape, it just fits in better, but that purely an aesthetic reason - this is a different font as well.
