Thanks for the great take on the design! I like the bee - he seems very attentive and ready to go to work. The use of bold (or heavy) arial-ish font is very appealing as strength. I really don't like purple (it looks purple on both my huey-corrected monitors, maybe it's not), although it goes well with the grey in the wings. I would like to find some way to tie the text together, although I'm not sure how to accomplish that and retain readability.
I really like 28. It ties the two words together well with a fun, attentive bee. I'm not sure how to resolve it, but the two black eyes read to me as two "o"s in redactor, rather than the bee's head reading as the one "o" that should be in the word. I like the idea of reducing the flatness in 30, but the grey text doesn't punch as well as the black in 28.
I like the result of the black widow's peak frame on the new bees heads - they really help with the single "O" and the gradient on the bee is wonderful for helping him punch out of the text. The new face is almost too kid-cartoony and, well, too friendly. I like the cool Steve McQueen look on the bee's face in 28.
Thanks for all your hard work on this. The bee still looks too much like the characters from "Bee Movie". I like the softening of the peak in 43, and I think we need to go with more of the head shape from 28 and move away from the "doe-eyes" of the last several.
another entry...i added an eyeglass to hide the double "O" look of the eyes.
