Our Ideas & Additional Information
Rainmaking For Lawyers is part of a rebranding effort for a company that has previously been known as Law Firm Development. Please see www.rainmakingforlawyers.com to see the site is being developed as well as the Law Firm Development logo that is being replaced.
Rainmaking is a metaphor; for professional services companies in the United States, rainmaking refers to the act of attracting new clients. A lawyer who is accomplished at this is sometimes referred to as a rainmaker. My entire target audience is familiar with this term. They don't need it explained, so please don't use images such as rain drops or umbrellas that are more closely related to rain or getting wet. Please also avoid images such as the scales of justice, gavel, or the facade of a courthouse. These appear on so many lawyer-related websites that they are a cliche. The current look of the website's homepage is subject to change, especially as it relates to colors and fonts. Please be creative; you don't have to have the logo match the look and feel of the existing site. Although the logo for Law Firm Development was a letterform mark, I am open to other styles and colors too.
