For # 1 and #2, my target audience is familiar with the term rainmaking. They know it's a metaphor and not to be taken literally, so please don't use images like raindrops, umbrellas, or anything else that suggests getting wet.
I like the combination of the using the name of the brand combined with an image. But a briefcase is too generic and too too old fashioned; trying to create a more modern feel.
Of the new ones I like #5 the best followed by #6.
These look a bit cleaner because the R in Rainmaking is vertically aligned with the L in Lawyer.
In terms of a design element, perhaps some form of raindrop might work so long as it was subtle. So for example in # 5, I would like to see the R have a tail that pointed up and then perhaps it would have a raindrop that would highlight the R in Rainmaking. Right now, #5 could use more color. The blue in # 3 is too gray. I would like something a bit brighter than the the blue in # 4. I like that in # 6 Rainmaking stands out because of the color.
