Our Ideas & Additional Information
I thought about bytes (1s & 0s transitioning into pixels but I'm not really sure that it would look all that great. But you guys are the experts, I'm open to anything and welcome ideas.

Discussion

Good ideas so far. I'd like to keep seeing unique concepts.

I'm so impressed with the quality of the designs I'm getting. You guys are awesome. I started ranking them and posting comments but I don't want to stifle creativity yet by just refining whats here so far. I'd like continue to see more unique concepts.

I do want to remind everyone that the logo needs to look good against the the bg of the site. I worry a lot of the entries may blend into the bg a bit too much and get lost.

I see a lot of designs I like. I'd still like to see someone take a stab at a specific concept. I'd like to see what it would look like to see 0s and 1s transitioning into (becoming) pixels. What Carrion has done #20 and #32 is on the right track. Now if they could just be combined.

I started up a forum topic over in the Contest Holder's Discussion forum to ask this but I though I should bring it up to you designers here as well.

I've got 2 requirements that seem to be at odds with each other. I need the design to look good on the blue bg of the site. As well I need it to look equally good against a white bg for invoices and simpler marketing material.

That seems like a tall order to ask a single design to be able to fulfill. Is it ok for me to ask for two variations in a single design concept? I.e. It would be the same design just with variations in color scheme or some other aspect (like shadows? I don't know how you guys would do it) to make it work on both a dark and light bg.

It's not a tall order at all. Designers, as far as I know, will provide you with both background versions upon winning the contest, as per your request. Designers can upload two separate versions, one with dark background(the one from your website) and one on white, if you request, for the same design concept.
Good luck!

There are so many great designs. I'm having a hard time ranking. You guys are all so great. And to think the contest is not even over yet.

This is a question I posted in the Contest Holders forum but I thought it would be good to get the opinion of the designers directly.

I'm curious what the recommend approach to ranking variations is.

As you can probably tell, I've tried to rank all of the unique concepts, marked a few as not interested and left the variations of the unique concepts unranked. Should I rank the variations? If so, whats the standard practice here?

I've extended the contest for 2 more days because I am having a difficult deciding between the top 6 (as it stands at the moment) and want to be able to continue to refine all of them before I make a final decision.

I want to thank you all. You are all tremendously talented designers. The past week has been pure torture trying to decide because the logos were just so good.

I know I was a demanding CH and I'm sure it was annoying at time. Thank you for all the willing revisions.
