Top Three Things to Communicate
#1 - Credibility. We're here to stay. This is not some fly-by-night operation.
#2 - Expertise. We dig deeper into analysis than anyone else.
#3 - Interactive. We want to engage with our audience.
Our Target Audience:
Age: 18-40 year old;
Sex: mostly male;
Location: mostly USA;
Interests: sports, particularly college football
Color Preferences
Some combination of NAVY BLUE, WHITE, SILVER, GRAY, or BLACK. Maybe a hint of green.
Our Ideas and Additional Information:
Some other contest entry concepts that we like: Seat King #164, Local Kick #147 or #253.
In the Seat King example, perhaps we have a "CFG" emblem/icon that accompanies our "College Football Geek" wordtype.
We're trying to keep this PROFESSIONAL. Please no Geek characters or anything cartoonish. If you would like to incorporate an icon (optional), perhaps a football or nerd glasses would work. Thanks!

Diamond Contest
We're sorry, but this contest is presently open to a limited pool of designers.
Designers, Thanks to all of you who have already submitted many fantastic designs and revisions for our contest. We greatly appreciate your time and efforts in creating the new logo for CollegeFootballGeek.com!
We've received so many interesting entries in the last couple days that we decided to extend the contest. We look forward to interacting with you during the extension period.
Thanks again to everyone for your interest. Keep up the good work!
Best regards, Todd DeVries Founder and CEO, CollegeFootballGeek.com
Designers, We wanted to provide some more information that may be useful to you.
1. On our website, our new logo will be displayed over the blue background showed in the link below (imagine it in the place of the words "The Big Board").
Ideally, the logo will be able to "pop" out from this background. The logo will also be used in other ways (t-shirts, etc.) with other background colors, but this one is important.
2. As we continue to analyze the submissions, we're gravitating towards the logos that have an emblem incorporated into the concept (#28, #35, #71, #72). We can utilize this style of logo in a couple of ways: use the entire logo when we have plenty of space to work with; use only the emblem when space is at a premium.
3. We are not married to the tagline "Take Your Game All The Way". This is line that one of the designers created and used in their logo. In our view, this tagline is merely a placeholder for our yet-to-be determined tagline.
We hope this information is helpful. Thanks again for everyone's efforts. Keem 'em coming!
CH- Cocnerning Entry # 75 and #76 I failed to realize that "Go North" had came up with the tagline "Take Your Game All the Way". I have replaced these entries with # 84 & #85. I apologize to both you and Go North for my error. I have withdrawn the entries #75 & 76. Thank you, I hope this does not cause any problems for you.
That is why we mentioned it in the discussion above - we started to notice that Go North's tagline was taking on a life of its own as other designers were including it in their work.
At the moment, we have not settled on a tagline. It is nice to visualize one as a placeholder, though. Your "analysis, news, rankings, forum" tagline serves that purpose.
Attention Designers, We would like to thank everyone for their hard work. We were overwhelmed by all of your talents! We will rank the Top 10 concepts by Monday.
We understand there is a Logo Tournament point system for the Top 10, as well as for all other ranked submissions (see below).
1st place - 50 points 2nd place - 20 points 3rd place - 10 points 4-6th place - 5 points 7-10 place - 3 points All other ranked submissions - 1 point
Therefore, we are going to pull all of the submissions from the "not interesting" area and re-rank them. This way, you each receive some extra benefit from participating in our contest.
Thank you very much for your outstanding efforts! They are very much appreciated! We will be in touch with the winner by Monday.
Best regards, Todd DeVries Founder, CollegeFootballGeek.com
Finally a CH that understands the system here! Thanks Todd. ... too bad that I took out the ones that you had titled as "not interested"! - man am I stupid.
