Thanks for the entries! Much appreciated! It's not quite the look I was going for. I did take a look at your profile and really thought your FrontPorch and Harrell Services designs were sharp. Perhaps you could incorporate some ideas from those logos for this contest?
I will be away from the computer at the end of the week. I have a bit of knee surgery that I have to take care of on Friday. Please let me know if there are any revisions or suggestions that you would like to see prior to Thursday. I will have access to the computer late Saturday or early Sunday, however, the contest will have closed by then. Thanks for the feedback and good luck. Great contest.
Actually, here is some quick feedback. Could you provide an example of #82 and #84 in sans serif font - in all caps? Would be curious to see how that appears.
Also, if we end up deciding to go with your design, can you provide us with variations in color (full color, one color, grayscale, reversed, etc.)?
I will start on the revisions ASAP. I can provide you with any color combination and format. I always provide customers with full color and Black and White. Just let me know what you need, before or after the contest. These are quick changes and can be emailed to you at any time. I also keep all files on hand for later needs so we do not have to start from scratch. Thanks and look for the revised lay outs a little later today.
Hey K Carroll, Before you go off to surgery, was hoping you could try something for us. Keep the wordtype for #102, but instead of a football off to the side, try a shield (or crest) in its place. Within the shield could be a football and "CFG".
Another idea - try to incorporate silver as a third color in the scheme. We like the silver used in #94 around the edges of the shield. Kind of has a shimmer to it.
Let me know if you have time to play around with these ideas.
Here it is...Please do not hesitate to mark not interested. The main problem is keeping the clean professional look. I feel this is not the direction that you are wanting...But you do pay the bills. LOL
Thanks. Yeah, I suppose the all-chrome look is a bit much. But thanks for offering it up.
One thing on #117, we think the all-chrome shield look is pretty cool. Only issue is getting the "CFG" to pop a bit more. Can you add a little black or something around the edges - keeping it in the silver-chrome-black family of colors? Just a thought.
Hey K Carroll, The shields looks good. Thanks again for the revisions.
I know time is precious for you with the pending surgery, but if you have time between now and 10pm...
What if we just went with a pure black "CFG" on #121 or #123, leaving everything else the same. Maybe put a slight 'shine' in the black, but keep it pretty dark.
Put that new shield next to the logo wordtype in #102 (scrap the dividing line, though).
If you have time, that would be great. If not, best of luck in your surgery!
Guys, I have provided your request with a White, Blue & Black Background. Please let me know if I can provide you with anything else. I will be watching for updates tonight. Thanks for the well wishes on my surgery.
#133 is interesting as this is the kind of blue background the logo with reside upon on our home page. In the link below (though not the home page), you can see the blue header we will be using.
Excellent! We appreciate your instant feedback! The shadow makes a big difference over the blue background.
Yes, we have yet more feedback for you! Perhaps change the color of the work "GEEK". The (aqua-ish) blue used currently in #135 isn't optimal with our background (linked above). Maybe try a real light blue (almost pale blue), or maybe a light gray, or a silver? Something different than the white in COLLEGE FOOTBALL, but still has that 'pop' factor.
For t-shirts and other white background items, we like the different blue colors you've been using (#132, etc). But perhaps for our home page, we go with the white / gray / silver / chrome / or real light blue look. What do you think?
Basically any light color with a slight edge treatment and drop shadow will give you the desired result. I will show you a few samples shortly. You may need to decide this once the competition is over to get the perfect fit. The beauty of the true vector files that this site mandates makes this extremely easy to tweak at a later date. Look for updates...
Do you have the RGB color that is used in the background for the webpage?
