embbeded software systems are usually related to medical devices such as pacemakers, automotive components such as braking systems, defence systems such as radar systems or passenger planes such as navigation systems. all these systems are highly safety critical, if the software fails the system may fail and cause loss of life. it would be interesting if the 'concept' could be reflected in a logo design (however this is not essential)

DO NOT USE any coloured backgrounds in any submission e.g. BLACK

Note: There is NO SIGNIFICANCE in any RANKING order during early stages of competition.

There are a lot of recent entries with colours blue, orange and green combinations.
This direction has not been set by the competition owner, so please feel free to try other colour variations !

Based on CH's direction to rafadh, I think using compass on the logo is CH's idea. I need to clarify this to get permission to use compass shape as well on my next work. May I use it, too? Thank you - Herdian

If CH is asking you directly to use the idea, yes you could. but if you're submitting entries based on CH's directions to a specific designer... I guess it's not appropriate to do so.

The use of navigation was noted in the Brief as a possible theme so symbols such as a compass or sextant representing navigation are welcomed. Other symbols such as a scroll or manuscript representing a charter or constitution for the formation of a country or group could also be used.

The contest has been extended in order to allow a longer period for judging.
Judging will take place by the project team on Friday 11th December
