Thanks - a definite contender. Clean, hint of the compass navigation them, the surrounding elements with the focus in the centre works as well. It's an alternative way of looking at the project instead of flowing and continuous transition.

ok, so now we have narrowed it down ! which do you consider the best colour combination?

Could you also try #314 but without the 'N' in the organge globe, take the pale overlay shadow away , and puts some'gloss' on the blue as in other logos

I like #451 #273 and #450 the best. The colors are rich and bright but not overwhelming. The teal and blue work very well together and the purple and blue complement each other nicely. They all work well in single color too!
