Day 1 - End of the Day commentary on the logo design

Try to come up with some different bold type face fonts. nothing too wacky but something thats nice and thick and bold

Feel free to hand design your own personal font to give it a unique look.

Merge lettering and then slice and create spacing from the letters , play around a bit.

Keep the lettering just one color - but feel free to add subtle thin colored borders only using black, red, or white (depending on which backround you are using)

Play with foreground and backround and use cutout methods

Interesting thing i saw on one design was subtle use of 2d and a little 3d incorperated.

~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you are going to see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested"
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Ranking is a non-monetary means of showing appreciation for designers hard work.
~~ Designers earn points for ranked designs. We like to earn points.

1st place - 50 points
2nd place - 20 points
3rd place - 10 points
4-6th place - 5 points
7-10 place - 3 points
10th on - 1 point

Day 2 - End of the Day commentary on the logo design

Be sure to stick to the color scheme for the lettering you may use the following solid colors
black, white, or red depending on the backround that you use (black or white) or if you are doing silver you can use different variations of silver to give it a liquify to brushed look

Progress is being made a couple of the designers are making good ground breaking development in getting closer to a concept. Keep varying it up.

@CH please ranked the logos that you dont like as not interested, that way we know you have seen our work. Thx.

Ok i will check the logos I dont like as not interested. also ive been commenting on just about everybodys design hopefully giving them a chance to make changes.

Day 3 - End of the Day commentary on the logo design

* Be sure to use only red, white, or black for the primary font color - dependent on the backround color you use. ive noticed some designers are using gradients

* Be sure that the logo design isnt too abstract where you can read it.

* Stick to bold font designs

* Most importantly start presenting some custom drawn font design concepts

* if i havent commented on your design i believe there are some on page 3 i will get to that first thing in the morning.

* This contest is coming along well i see some potential logos from the bunch but i havent seen the one design yet that knocks me off my socks but i believe it will have to be a work in progress as a 1 shot logo design is very rare!

Day 4 - End of the Day commentary on the logo design

At this point you dont have to go crazy and submit the same concept in different colors
When we get down to the final selection and or the winner i will then work with the designer to tweak the final variations of the logo (thought this would help save time) the only rule to this note is if your variation is very unique where a specific stroke and or border surrounds the logo and or letters then feel free to post the design as well

Im very please to see you guys reading the end of the day notes and making the changes.
Keep going on the custom lettering as we are making great strides in the development.

Day 7 - End of the Day commentary on the logo design

Designs are coming in and some are unique and some are a little bit too close to the top ranked designs which is ok but if you are going to do that be sure that it is unique to your style.

In anycase contest is coming along well with some of the guys still sticking it out from the beginning and some new faces coming into the contest. I will hold over the next few days a selection of my top 25 designers from there on it i will be doing eliminations with the ranking so get your concepts in between now and wed. depending on the response i will probley start doing eliminations starting thursday , just depends on the overall submissions. New designers feel free to keep submitting all the way until the final day who knows since its a contest anything is possible.

Day 8 & 9 - End of the Day commentary on the logo design

We are getting closer to the end of the contest with a couple more days to go. so i thought i would make a couple of quick comments

If you are a new designer entering the contest i would look at whats currently being top ranked and use your style to bring something new to the contest. also for the ones i marked not interested still feel free to look at those designs for inspiration.

Current Designers that are in the top ranked should still be tweaking out there logos with some small subtle designs. On preliminary rounds i will be eliminating designs on thursdays to get ready for the final judgement and selection of the winner . with that said if there are any additional subtle designs you think you can bring to your logo i would say create them and submit it as i will be judging your entry against the other top ranked designs. if you have any questions that need to be answered before designing let me know.

Day 11 - End of the Day commentary on the logo design


Hey guys almost close to the end and looking forward to seeing any designs that havent been submitted by new designers come in this weekend.

The competition is close and the top ranked entries keep changing daily. my team of judges at my company have a close eye on whats being submitted so existing designers who are in the top ranked its not over , be sure to take a look at your design and see if you can create something that you can add to it.

Will be checking in frequently till the end of the contest on monday.

Day 12 - End of the Day commentary on the logo design

Competition is really heating up. been gettting so many great entries the last few days. Now is your time to wow me with a design that hasnt been submitted. top ranked placements are changing constantly throughout the day so there is no real clear winner. Judgement will be done on monday with a board of officials on my end so remember top ranked designers the contest isnt over so its best to impove your logo , either submit a new concept and or perfect the current logo, keep in mind all the coments i have made thus far both personally and overall , this should help give you an idea of what im looking to do.

Day 14 - Mid day commentary on logo design

Ive been looking over everyones entries. If i havent placed it in the top rankings and or not interested bin it doesnt mean im not interested . im basically going everything carefully and will be making changes throughout the day.

Also let me know if you guys need some extra time on getting some last minute designs in as i can extend by one day , thats if enough designers are requesting it , as i really would like to wrap up this contest.

Ive gotten a tremendous amount of great talent on this competition and i wish i could use a different logo for each day of the week but i will only be able to choose one. with that said keep submitting your designs as some new comers were able to get top ranking placements so there is still a chance. good luck. thanks again for all your support.

Day 14 - End of the Day commentary on the logo design

Hey guys depending on how you look at it great news. the contest has been extended by 2 days only. I got a lot of private messages by more than 2 dozen designers asking for an extention to perfect there logo and submit it. The excitement has been building and we will have a final winner chosen in 2 days. Nows the time to perfect your logo and get it ready for the final judgement day.

Day 16 - End of the Day commentary on the logo design

All good things must come to an end.9hrs left till the contest ends. Ive gotten more a tremendouse response on this contest and i commend all designers who have participated and put there hard work into there concepts. I will be going through all unranked and top designs and will be selectively narrowing it down.

So please do not with draw your entries as there are so many unranked i have to carefully decide which ones will go into the not interested bin.

9hrs left. any last minute designers thinking of submitting should hurry up and do so now.

End of day commentary

I went through the first round of eliminating designs as you will now see the top design list selected from there i will shuffling the designs ranking until i can get it down to the top 10. Alot of great designs , alot of designs that were previously submitted that was a variation of top ranked but i have narrowed down the concepts that were submitted from the beginning that caught my eye. in anycase thanks to all designers this really was a great contest for me. thanks to you designers for making it happen.

End of day commentary

Top 10 have been selected. we are going to select and have the final judgement shortly for the winner and top 3.

End of contest commentary

This sure has been a sucessfull and competetive competition with 684 entries it took a lot of work on my end to select and choose the top rankings. Also im aware of the work on your end it took to come up with unique and original concepts.

The top rankings had changed alot during the process and alot of you were very close to winning. With the contest being over i would like to thank all of the submitting designers. I cant say that you are all winners because there can only be one for this competition , but what i can say is that each and everyone of you are extremely talented so if it isnt this contest i can be sure that you will catch a gold trophey real soon on your future competitions. Once again thank you for all your creativity and hard work.
