The Forgiven SonsLogo Design Contest

#1 - Not a bad start. The colors are pretty cool. Still open to other colors too. After I get a number of other entries to review, I'll provide more feedback on design. Not real sure what I want yet. Nice start though.

#2 - Hmmm. Another nice entry. Quite different style than #1. As mentioned before, I want to get a bunch of entries in before I make many specific comments, since I'm not sure if I want to go with a more traditional look like #1 or a newer look like #2. I like having different styles to consider since I have not locked into a style in my mind.

#4-#5 - Cool look but a little too busy to see the name. Also, the logo will be on a black jacket/vest, so the colors need to come through with a black background.

Gadinga ... can you do #12 with a couple different color crosses, for comparison?

Joop ... can you do #17 with no circle? Everything else the same.

#18 and #19 probably have too much stuff on them. Liked them better with no wings. Wings are not mandatory on the logo in my mind. Sometimes I like them, sometimes not. You have a cool design going.

After further review, I would like to take the word "The" out of the title. I apologize for changing my mind, but my other club buddies said we are just "Forgiven Sons".

We're kinda liking the wings with a cross in the middle concept. #12 seems to have an appeal that many of my group likes, at least at this point. I was told the name needs to be the "top rocker" (don't exactly know, but I guess that's the top arch?). I have some wings and a cross that a buddy sent but I don't know how to post a picture of it? The cross is kinda a keltic look, with pointed ends ... kinda short stubby arms. Also the wings we kinda like are more harley-like ... kinda full.

I was reminded that since this logo is going to be on the back of a jacket/vest, and since it will probably be an embroidered patch, we might need to stay away from color gradients.

I'm really looking for harley-type wings ... eagle wings, I guess. Many of these ideas so far have angels wings. Harley wings are seen in the harley logo. They go across, not down, like an angels.

#65 is close to the style we are looking for. Basically 3 separate sections, since there will be 3 patches that are embroidered. The top will have our name on it ... FORGIVEN SONS. The middle will be a celtic-style cross with wings. The bottom will have PS421 on it.

The top and bottom arches are pretty curved, with the font big enough to read from a little distance. Remember, this is going on the back of a jacket and we want people to be able to read it if they pull up behind us at a red light. The cross and wings will sit in the middle of the arches. Again, it's eagles wings, not really angels wings.
