After showing some of these ideas to a marketing friend of mine, he suggested a different cross. More of a keltic look I think. I'll send it to you if I can. Also, he said we ought to look at "Forgiven Sons" being the top rocker with a font like #1. I'm not an expert at this so I didn't know what "top rocker" meant. I guess it means the arch over the logo? Anyway, can you make these changes and see what it looks like?
Just to make sure you see this change ... we are taking the word "the" out of the logo. I thought we wanted it in, but my biker group said we want to leave it out.
I really like your cross in #12. And that design is still one of my favorites. It's shortlisted still.
That being said, could you do #12 with the banner on top?
And with some wings that are more full, kinda like Harley wings are?
The cross I'm talking about (celtic-type) is sort of like #46. Again though, the one you used in #12 is pretty cool, but I'm just wondering what another type would look like on that design.
"Forgiven Sons" will be on top, with a font similar to #34 (size and shape). Also, it will have more arch. Doesn't have to be a banner. Most motorcycle groups just have their name on an arched patch, with no fancy banner.
The middle will be the cross and wings. Can you remove any gradient though, since this will be an embroidered patch? Also, what about doing the circle background in a little different color to give a little contrast?
Let's add a bottom rocker, with an upward arch (mirror of the top one), and it will say "PS421".
If you look at a motorcycle club's jacket, they really have 3 patches. The top rocker is the name. The middle is the graphic (cross and wings in our case). The bottom rocker is something else, in our case, the verse reference.
I tried to make the modifications that you wanted without copying what the other designers did. Also the 2 tone look to the cross is not a gradient, it is just 2 different colors to give it more dimension. It can be embrodered to look that way by using dark red thread for one part, and a brighter color thread for the other part.
