Logo Designer
Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ You, the Client, are very important! Your active participation is the single greatest factor influencing this contest. Active participation by you, the Client, helps you get the logo design you want!
~~ What's active participation? It's updating the brief with more information for Designers to work with as the contest progresses, providing feedback to Designers on their entries when they're submitted, and ranking designs at least once a day.
~~ When you provide feedback to Designers, you increase the chances of getting the logo you want. More feedback = better results!
~~ Leave private feedback by clicking on a design. Feedback will be made public upon contest completion.
~~ Rank designs at least once each day -- this will encourage Designers to submit more entries!
~~ Ranking prevents your contest from going idle! Active contests attract more Designers.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed. Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Please note: if you're asking for a design that will require several hours to create, to attract Designers willing to invest that amount of time the prize should be at least $400-$500. All "Character" style logos fall into this category.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested." We'd like to know what you don't want so we can give you the design you do want.
~~ The first phase of the contest is the "Open" phase, and everyone can submit during that time.
~~ After your contest's initial "Open" phase closes, it will enter the "Top 5" phase; only the top 5 ranked Designers will be able to submit revisions at that time.
~~ The "Top 5" Designers are the first 5 Designers in a contest, not the first 5 designs.
~~ When "Top 5" ends, the "Judging" phase begins. The Designer of the 1st place design will be the only Designer who can submit revisions at that time.

Please note that the name can - and should - be simply "Becoming an Indispensable Partner". There is no need to have the "The" at the beginning, nor the "Program" at the end. That should simplify getting the name in a more dramatic and pleasing size and position.

The dynamic look of logo #1 is impressive. Eliminating the extraneous words ("The" and "Program") in the name would allow for much larger type - which would be a big improvement.

The colors on #1 are very good - close on the blue, although the reddish/orange is too orange for me.

If possible I do want something that might be able to be used as a 'seal' for graduates of the program, as much as the logo for the program. First and foremost is the logo, but the dual use is a positive opportunity.

The key emphasis in the name of the program is "Indispensable Partner." The "Becoming an" is the part that needs to be small.

Design #3 is interesting in terms of movement. I do not understand nor draw any meaningful associations with the 5-pronged design that is the background of the image. A sense of movement and connection is a very positive thing. Given that we are dealing with technical experts, and the vast majority of those are technical experts, is there something that could convey the movement from that (computer or ???) to improved impact, results, and connection to key clients?

Entries 26 and 23 are interesting - however, they need to say just: "Becoming An" on the first line, "Indispensable" on the second, and "Partner" on the third. In addition, the tag line needs to be much more visible and pronounced, for that is what gives it real meaning.

IMPORTANT NOTE to all designers: Please note that the words "The" at the beginning of the title, and "Program" at the end of the title should NOT be a part of the design. The title should be simply: "Becoming An Indispensable Partner" with the main emphasis on "Indispensable Partner"

On #11 - move the "an" next to "Becoming" and make the subtitle much more visible and strongly pronounced.

For all designers: The subtitle line: "Maximizing Your Impact, Value, and Results" is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT, and needs to be clearly visible and significant.

Re design #13 - I like the globe, the ascending bars and the 'person' reaching out to the star. The image that looks like a gear wheel, however, does not work for me. Any other ideas about the backdrop for the image?

What makes entries 35, 54 and 38 the top 3 at this point is the sense of motion and connection that they have. I am looking for somewhat that conveys 'Partnership' as this program is about what the tagline says: "Maximizing Your Impact, Value, and Results" - which is a very key part of the logo. This tagline must also be highly readable and have impact.

I also like the way the box in #38 contains and highlights the message, and am open to more treatments like that.

One important element that I am still searching for is the connection between top technical experts (think technology and Information Technology in particular) and their ability to provide value and impact - not just services - for their clients has to do with the quality of their communications, relationships and understanding of what is most important to their clients.

I am looking for something that portrays technology and people coming together to multiply the impact of the technical skills by making them relevant and meaningful to the client in ways the clients would appreciate. Too many technical experts just do the work, and hope they get appreciated, respected and recognized. We teach them how to communicate to optimize the value perception of what they do.

Hi all,

NOTE TO DESIGNERS: It is critical to know that the words in the logo are EXTREMELY IMPORTANT to have clear and very readable - they are more important than the image that goes with them. The best examples so far of clear and readable type for the words in the logo are in images #15, 75 and 76. The use of the lines on both sides of the BECOMING AN help to set it off and draw attention, and the large and equal sizing of the INDISPENSABLE PARTNER is important as well. It is this term: 'Indispensable Partner' that is our key branding line.

What I am looking for with the words - again, which are as or more important than an image - are for them to be bold, strong, clear, and highly readable. The graphic treatment of the words is critical to the overall design.

What I am most looking for with the image is for it to be (in order of importance, but all are meaningful) - Strong, Clean, Simple, Technically oriented (not sure how to convey this, but open to suggestions, as my clients are high level technical and IT executives and professionals), Showing Growth and Impact, Masculine, and Not Cartoonish.

Important Message to All Designers: In terms of importance, it is best to have the focal point of the logo be the words of the title and subtitle. This needs to catch your eye first and then have the image be a reinforcement of the message. The image without the words does not tell the story, while seeing the title words first and then the image provides the kind of impact I am looking for. The most readable title set up that I like most are found in #75, 79 and 81. The "Indispensable Partner" is our key branding phrase and needs to stand out - both in terms of size and coloring.

The graphics that align most for me with what it means to be an Indispensable Partner are #75, 81, and 86 - for their strong, simple, and reaching for something important imaging. Again, if the eye hits the titles first and the image is a reinforcement of our message, we are going to be more successful with the design.

In terms of color schemes, #75 and #86 are strong - the blue works very well, and while the red is good, I am also open to seeing other treatments with that rich blue. Of interest for the color scheme and use of a color block is #109 - a rich blue block (or circle or other shape) within which the title lines and subtitle lines and the graphic appear is appealing and potential a strong choice. I think this kind of strong color treatment conveys grab-your-attention strength and impact, which is important to our audience.

Again, our audience is top level technical professionals - 80% of whom are male, and among the leaders about 90% are male.

Thank you for some excellent ideas!
