Our Ideas & Additional Information
Sugar Rush is an annual benefit/fundraiser which will be held at fancy hotels in three different cities. For this contest, we will focus on our Sugar Rush Bay Area (San Francisco), which happens first on November 15th. This event supports a nonprofit organization called Spark (company logo attached). Sugar Rush is a dessert tasting event, featuring some of the area's top chefs/restaurants. Attendees will pay a substantial ticket price to sample high-end desserts from well-known chefs, enjoy wine bars, socialize with other high-income professionals, bid on high-end items in live and silent auctions.

Spark is a nonprofit organization that provides workplace apprenticeships for underserved youth (company logo attached) so while the logo should be fun, it should still reflect that it supports a youth organization. We would like the logo for this annual event to be usable with slight modifications for multiple locations (Los Angeles, Chicago - the date and location should be easily changeable, if included. Last year, we hired the designer to change the skylines for each city and change background colors). We had fabulous logo done last year thru Logo Tournament and can’t wait to see what you guys come up with this year! Keep in mind that logo will drive event decorations, theme, and other design aspects for the night!

We have uploaded the Spark company logo as well as last year’s Bay Area Sugar Rush logo (minus the ‘sweet dreams’ part).

Designers are encouraged to either: 1) incorporate this logo into the event logo design or 2) just use the word "Spark" in the event logo design, if possible.

Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ You, the Client, are very important! Your active participation is the single greatest factor influencing this contest. Active participation by you, the Client, helps you get the logo design you want! 
~~ What's active participation? It's updating the brief with more information for Designers to work with as the contest progresses, providing feedback to Designers on their entries when they're submitted, and ranking designs at least once a day. 
~~ When you provide feedback to Designers, you increase the chances of getting the logo you want. More feedback = better results!
~~ Leave private feedback by clicking on a design. Feedback will be made public upon contest completion.
~~ Rank designs at least once each day -- this will encourage Designers to submit more entries! 
~~ Ranking prevents your contest from going idle! Active contests attract more Designers. 
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed. Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Please note: if you're asking for a design that will require several hours to create, to attract Designers willing to invest that amount of time the prize should be at least $400-$500. All "Character" style logos fall into this category.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested." We'd like to know what you don't want so we can give you the design you do want. 
~~ The first phase of the contest is the "Open" phase, and everyone can submit during that time. 
~~ After your contest's initial "Open" phase closes, it will enter the "Top 5" phase; only the top 5 ranked Designers will be able to submit revisions at that time. 
~~ The "Top 5" Designers are the first 5 Designers in a contest, not the first 5 designs.
~~ When "Top 5" ends, the "Judging" phase begins. The Designer of the 1st place design will be the only Designer who can submit revisions at that time.

Please note that we DO NOT want the Spark logo turned into the Sugar Rush logo. We want the Sugar Rush logo to stand on it's own, but not look totally out of place on the Spark website or on Spark materials.

We've had a couple questions about the style and complexity. Please take a look at last year's logo - we're trying to top it, if possible! It set high expectations for this awesome party we throw and it the winning logo will be the centerpiece of this high profile event!

Please do not withdraw your entries because of the rankings! We're moving all of the winning designer's work to the top so we can choose the ultimate winner, but will then re-rank for the end of the contest so you can get your proper awards! Please be patient - the team choosing has several people in different locations.
