Our Ideas & Additional Information

Thanks for all the great entries so far! In general, we like the use of stylized lungs as symbols, but maybe a bit more abstract than right now. We also like incorporating ideas of breath, air flow, life and so forth. The asymmetric ones are less attractive for us right now.

Usually, we like the picture logos to the left of the wordmark rather than above, and more simple than complex, because the latter can be too hard to make out.

Logos with different pieces coming together as one are also appealing.

Hi all,

Thanks for your continued interest and more great submissions! It looks like we have a number of good options to choose from so far and we look forward to seeing more throughout the day today.

As a general observation, many of you have submitted designs depicting some version of a double DNA helix, a symbol often associated with biotechnology. We'd like to take the opportunity to point out that our company, Spirovation, does not focus on pure genetic (DNA) research. Rather, we are focused on transforming drug discovery for respiratory diseases. We do this in part by being able to discover and validate very novel mechanisms of action that we hope will lead to the development of better drugs to treat respiratory diseases such as CF, Asthma, COPD, etc.

We hope this clarification helps your creative thinking. Keep the submissions coming!

Thanks again for your great work.
