Our Ideas & Additional Information
old site: www.shakayoga.com
new site: http://www.wix.com/bethanydiddle/shakayoga

These are both make-shift sites. But, I think it's good for you to know what's out there at this point. Please use as reference only, I'm really looking for your creativity and perspective!

I will say that I do love the Bird of Paradise flower as an icon. The Bird of Paradise is the name of a pose and I feel it conveys strength, energy, and natural beauty! That is what is currently used on my logo design (which I did in PPT).

PLEASE NOTE: I would like to have the descriptor line included in some of the logo options. This line is: Hot Power Vinyasa

#2 and #3. Thanks for your designs! I like the strength of the SHAKA YOGA font and the use of the Bird of Paradise. I might like to see different color variations...perhaps using a more "energetic" color as the font color rather than purple. I think I like the logo best when SHAKA YOGA is used as the vehicle to communicate strength and power, and the image is used to convey natural beauty/vibrancy. I'd also like to see the image on the left side of SHAKA YOGA. I think that position may be where I like it the best. Thanks again!

#15, Thanks for this submission! I love the use of the bird of paradise and the general architecture of the logo. To get it closer to where it needs to be, I would like for the font of Shaka Yoga to be a bit more elegant and for the flower to be a bit more whispy. I looked at your portfolio and your "styl" logo has a nice feeling....it's closer to the "feeling" that i'd like to capture in my logo. Also, if you could simplify the color selection....I don't think "hot" needs to be its own color. I like the color combination of #17 alot. I think it's bright and energetic but still peaceful and "of the earth." The descriptor line can all be one color. Lastly, do you think options with SHAKA YOGA in all caps is a possibility here?

#1, i love the font of both SHAKA YOGA and hot power vinyasa. I think they convey strength while also being elegant and simple. I like SHAKA YOGA in all caps as well. I would love to see more color options (note #17 has a good feeling achieved from their color combination) and an image to replace the person on the left. The person and green flowy thing have a nice feeling (free, elegant, etc), but I think that I don't like the use of a person in my logo....it's too literal. Would love to see a few more options based on this feedback!!

#17, Thanks for your submission! I LOVE the color combination you have selected alot. I think they work well together and are bright and energetic but still very peaceful and beautiful. I think the circular image you have created is interesting. I think I'd actually like to see the people removed and then have the words Shaka Yoga start from within the circle. So basically, the words would start in the circle and then flow out of the circle on the right side. Also, I like the more graphical approach you've taken but would also like to see some options that have a whispy, free, flowy feeling. Also, what do you think about any all caps options..meaning SHAKA YOGA?

#16, I like the elegance of the circle and the person, but I'd like for the abstract person to be switched out for an abstract bird of paradise flower. Also, if we could get the font selection to be a bit more elegant that would be great! And also use colors that are bright and energetic but still peaceful, calming (of the earth). I think #17 has done a nice job with colors.

#20 Thank you for your additions! This is getting A LOT closer! I think the font choice is great for both SHAKA YOGA and Hot Power Vinyasa. I think you've done a nice job making the bird of paradise more wispy, though I actually would be interested in seeing it with a little bit more weight...perhaps taking a quarter of a step back towards the direction you originally started out with in terms of weight (but keeping wispy). When you do this, it might be nice to also pull in a tiny bit of the red and orange as you have in the flower on design #22.

As it relates to color specifically....I like the color combination of #20 a lot. I do not like the magenta color for the descriptor line as you have shown in #22.

Please note that I prefer having SHAKA YOGA as one color or similar colors as you show in #20. I think the colors get a little complicated when you have SHAKA as one color, YOGA as one color, and then the descriptor line as one color.

I'm hoping that you wouldn't mind taking design #20, adjusting the bird of paradise just a tiny bit and then fleshing out a number of color options (options like you've already done, as well as with oranges, earth tones, greens/grass, an aqua similar to what you have here but more natural, other natural colors you might see in a beautiful flower garden, etc). I do like the colors you have selected quite a bit, but note that I am looking to see a touch of "realness" or earthy/natural quality added in to them. That's why I have design #17 ranked somewhat high because I think his colors are more natural or "of the earth".

Generally speaking, I want this logo to feel strong, energetic, but very natural and beautiful. This pertains to the colors, the flower, and the font.

Thanks again!

#17, Thanks for your new submission. I think though that maybe you didn't read my first feedback because you changed the colors and I actually liked the colors you had originally. I've posted it again below for your review:

Thanks everybody for their tremendous effort and beautiful designs! I really love all of them. I'm still assessing each design considering my own personal taste but also the brand objectives/message I set out to convey -- I do believe Shaka Yoga's logo is in this set somewhere! THANKS!!!!!!!
