Our Target Audience:

Color Preferences
Open to combinations of royal colors -- shades of purple, red, blue and gold
Our Ideas and Additional Information:
Sanctuary the Musical is a Christian, rock musical in the genre of Jesus Christ Superstar. The word Sanctuary means a place of refuge and protection. In the context of this production it refers to a place of peace and refuge spiritually, mentally and emotional. The musical is more about the life and ministry of Jesus rather than his crucifixion.
We prefer not to use any stereotypical religious symbols. The words "the Musical" must be smaller than "Sanctuary". The logo needs to work on both light and dark backgrounds. For inspiration, try listening to audio clips of songs from the musical here: http://www.sanctuarythemusical.com.
Think: powerful but serene, majestic, glory, flowing white gown, open arms. . . maybe a sillouhette of jesus.

Diamond Contest
We're sorry, but this contest is presently open to a limited pool of designers.
#30. VERY NICE... this is my Favorite.... Simple, yet elegant. Thanks #21. Also Very nice.. the one thing I would like to see is I'd like "the musical" to be a solid color. Thanks! # 16. I like this also but could you try it with a different font? Thanks
Some of these are nice but some of you don’t seem to be taking into consideration our color preferences or the stylistic sliders. Still looking for the “wow” factor. This logo will represent a powerful, dramatic, and moving theatrical production.
Edited contest brief to include Web 2.0 as a logo type. We'd like to see some concepts that are more vibrant and have more depth. Perhaps more use of gold, purples and reds.
Just an FYI: we are trying to rank entries and use the "not interested" bin as has been recommended in the forums. If there is one design we like that has several variations, i.e. color changes, we will keep and rank the one(s) we like best and bin the rest. So that everyone gets at least a 1 point credit, we're going to try to leave all unique entries in the ranks. However, if your entry isn't in at least the top 10, we probably aren't interested in pursuing that design concept unless our feedback indicates otherwise.
Thanks to everyone who has participated so far, We are still very open to new, fresh ideas! There's LOTS of awesome talent here and we're excited to see what you all come up with!
P.S. I hope the above is the best way to handle the rankings. We don't want designers to work needlessly to refine a design we're not interested in, but also thought we shouldn't bin them right away so that: 1) others can see what we don't want and 2) the designer still gets a little credit.
Think: powerful but serene, majestic, glory, flowing white gown, open arms. . . maybe a sillouhette of jesus. . . just trying to give some inspiration. Just because the top ranking logos are of the same general idea, don't think we've settled on that. It's early in the "game" and we're still very open to new ideas!
This post was used on a different competition to highlight some rules of the LT (previously posted by Dazzle - Moderator for LT)
" March 22nd, 2009, 11:48am How are you doing ? hope you are doing great. As this contest is about to come to an end, and you will be chosing the best new logo for your company, i just wanted to have your attention to some important point that you might be aware of or might not. I hope i am not miss understood by pointing out this to you and that you understand.
When the contest ends and you have made your mind and desicion about the winner logo, the winner gets the 1st place, but the 2nd and 3rd place and going on forward, 4th, 5th, 6th , etc , each one or slot should be filled with a seperate designer and different concept you found second best, third best to follow etc.
This helps towards us designers ranking and also it is a way from you to show your appreciation to the hard effort and trails put from the beginning by one designer or appreciating a nice design concept put earlier by a designer that led to developing on right direction for others and you getting the best you could at the end.
It feels frustrating for other designers and pointless of giving all the top rankings for same winner designer, while those were just a small variations of the winning design and therefore the other places 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc are not filled with different designs from a different designer.
So i hope you understood my point i was just trying to point out to you here and all the best of luck in chosing your winner logo, there are really good ones out there.
