Color Preferences
Anything you think will work well with current local safari logos which you can view at ChicagoPhotoSafaris.com and SanFranPhotoSafaris.com. We are using PMS 349C (green), PMS 7503C (tan) and black, however, I usually change the green to 357 and the tan to 7503 for online displays because it seems to look closer to the printed versions. But we're open to any other colors you think might look good with those local logos!
Our Ideas & Additional Information
Final image needs to be able to be displayed alongside current local safari logos which you can view at ChicagoPhotoSafaris.com and SanFranPhotoSafaris.com. Main font in existing logos is Adobe Garamond Pro with closed P and complete circles for Os.

This competition's logo design needs to look simple and expensive, and bring together the idea of networking local entities to provide a global leader for these unique photography travel opportunities.

Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank a variety of designs to get a variety of entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Leave private feedback by clicking on a design. Feedback will be made public upon contest completion
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you will see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested".
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Designers earn points for designs ranked 1st - 10th. We like to earn points.
~~ After your contest closes it will enter Judging phase. You can re-rank designs in Judging.
~~ While in Judging, the designer ranked in first place can submit revisions

Thanks for the entries so far!

Lass, we like the sophistication of where your idea is going (and like that you used the same Adobe Garamond font), but it might come across a little stuffy for some. Could you make the center O in photo the same as the last O and try some different color combinations? This will most likely usually be on a white background and the yellow/tan tens to blend into the background. Showing the world also does represent our international reach, however, it doesn't stress the connection factor we're looking for (network of safari companies). Do you have ideas on how you might be able to change this to incorporate that?

Mangoandalien, your color choice works great with our color palette and the design works well on the white background. We like your creativity in the animal/landscape depiction, however, on first glance, it looks like blobs to some of us which make us think of laziness. Some people looked at them from left to right and saw the spot in the middle as an eye that looked angry. Do you have ideas on how you might be able to adapt this to get away from those thoughts on first glance?

Also, we are waiting to get a few more designs to rank these. Thanks again!!

Client noticed lagging entries. Possibly due to the USA long weekend. Client would appreciate more ideas.

Sorry, 1 more thing, designers! When you are submitting a logo, could you include 1 version with our tag line of "Adventures are only a click away!"? Thanks!

Thanks so much for everyone's entries! We will be making a final decision based on the following:

1) How well the image looks on our website, www.PhotoSafariNetwork.com
2) How well the image looks alongside our local safari logos (see www.ChicagoPhotoSafaris.com and www.SanFranPhotoSafaris.com)
3) How well the image displays the idea of connectivity
4) How well the image portrays an expensive (but not stuffy), fun, exciting, informative, easy-to-use service/product that takes place worldwide
5) How easy we believe it will be to work with the designer (we're basing this on things like (1) how well additional submissions incorporated feedback, (2) how detailed submissions were (like in spacing of elements), etc.)

Thanks again to everyone; you've all done such a wonderful job and are all so very talented!!
