Slogan
Helping refugees thrive through mentoring.
What We Do
We are a grassroots, nonprofit organization dedicated to helping local refugees thrive through three core concepts: Connect, Cultivate, and Contribute. We connect refugees to local American friends through one-on-one mentoring that includes weekly meet-ups and monthly group meetings. Refugees cultivate skills by working with mentors to set and achieve goals that will help them better support themselves and their families. By fostering relationships with each other and through regular program service projects, refugees and mentors contribute their skills and life experiences. As refugees and mentors connect, cultivate, and contribute, unity and richness in our communities will grow.
Our target marketing audience is volunteers; however, we also partner with local company's Philanthropy Directors for funding, and want to create brand recognition with refugees, who need a trusted "face."

Color Preferences
The three colors we'd like to use are as follows in order of preference (perhaps 60/30/10 rule):
Green as base (fern green, lighter)
Blue as analogous color (medium blue-ish)
Orange ( more red-orange) as accent
Please feel free to play with the hues and tones, but basically we are trying to evoke the following emotions for our volunteers, mentors and refugees: connected, included, united, loved, validated, recognized, understood, seen deeply, safe.
If you have other color ideas, please share ideas and reasoning. We are open to other ideas, like perhaps purple. But we would like to stay with 1-3 total.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
We'd like to see entries with a separate or integrated logo with company name: Of One Heart. Possible ideas with a heart of course, or world since we work with refugees form around the globe, of all nationalities and cultures. Using a bridge concept could work, as we connect refugees to local people and communities, to foster relationships and integration, understanding and respect. We don't want cartoonish, but something accessible to all cultures and personal that touches the heart, filled with meaning and a bit clever too.
