Color Preferences
no pastels, please avoid color combos that are too aggressive, color combo should reflect calm strength, but not be spa-like; not huge fan of blue but darker blues might work in combo w others;
Our Ideas & Additional Information
The company name refers to COOs or other staff who are indispensable because they have skills in many areas. Linchpin includes my last name LIN, but also is the pin that holds a wheel on to an axle. This imagery would work well with the idea that we can help you move your mission-based organization forward with our important skills.

A linchpin can also be represented as the middle overlapping portion of a venn diagram. This is also a very interesting idea since our expertise includes Programs, Operations, and Fundraising with a possible fourth category of Strategy. We would be the overlap in the middle of all three/four depending on the design.

Please focus on "Linchpin" and keep "On Demand" smaller, is simply meant to show that you hire only when you need us.

Also, please avoid too corporate-looking logos.

I've just made some slight modifications to the brief to provide better guidance. Many of the logos are too aggressive, corporate, or like a tech company. This is not a cable company despite the 'on demand' part :). The logo should feel comfortable, but confident. I've moved the slider a bit ore towards feminine and elegant and checked the 'wordmark' as well. Let's see if this helps you - thanks!

Some additional notes:
1. The 'on demand' part can be much smaller - feel free to play around with it. Maybe even put it in ( ). It's just meant to mean 'for hire' or 'part-time' instead of someone indispensable who you have to have full-time
2. The Venn diagram doesn't have to be circles - feel free to play with shapes, concepts, etc. But need to be careful because some look like biohazard or SciFi logos!
3. I'm really loving some of these unexpected color combos!

Thanks for all the submissions so far! Just want to share a note with everyone to remember that a "linchpin" is the thing/person that holds everything together, so the emphasis should be on the center of the design and not necessarily the outer parts when getting creative with the Venn diagram concept.

Logo Designer
Hello! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ You, the Client, are very important! Your active participation is the single greatest factor influencing this contest. Active participation by you, the Client, helps you get the logo design you want!
~~ What's active participation? It's updating the brief with more information for Designers to work with as the contest progresses, providing feedback to Designers on their entries when they're submitted, and ranking designs at least once a day.
~~ When you provide feedback to Designers, you increase the chances of getting the logo you want. More feedback = better results!
~~ Leave private feedback by clicking on a design. Feedback will be made public upon contest completion.
~~ Rank designs at least once each day -- this will encourage Designers to submit more entries!
~~ Ranking prevents your contest from going idle! Active contests attract more Designers.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed. Unless your contest is Private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Please note: if you're asking for a design that will require several hours to create, to attract Designers willing to invest that amount of time the prize should be at least $400-$500. All "Character" style logos fall into this category.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested." We'd like to know what you don't want so we can give you the design you do want.
~~ The first phase of the contest is the "Open" phase, and everyone can submit during that time.
~~ After your contest's initial "Open" phase closes, it will enter the "Top 5" phase; only the top 5 ranked Designers will be able to submit revisions at that time.
~~ The "Top 5" Designers are the first 5 Designers in a contest, not the first 5 designs.
~~ When "Top 5" ends, the "Judging" phase begins. The Designer of the 1st place design will be the only Designer who can submit revisions at that time.

Loving all the designs - thank you! I'd like to ask all designers to please read my comments because a lot of people are making the same mistake and not focusing on the center of the circle or whatever design element you do. LINCHPIN has a specific meaning and having a logo that is opposite of the meaning defeats the purpose!

I will do my best to continue commenting and re-ranking, but I am currently in Africa and am having significant internet issues. Thanks for your patience and dedication to this contest!

Thank you so much designers!! These are fabulous! Please DO NOT remove your designs just because they are not ranked! I am using the Top 5 strategy that LT suggests but that does not mean lower ranked designs are being excluded - i need more comparisons.

Also, please be patient - I am trying to do this under a trying internet environment!

Thanks again to all you wonderful designers! I have to step away from this for a few days for work, but will be back to make a final decision while my friends weigh in. Thanks again!
