Color Preferences
We are open to color combinations that are fresh and inviting. We feel like the color indigo should be part of the logo but doesn't necessarily have to be the primary color. We are not fond of red or orange, especially when paired with the color indigo. Maybe try "spring" colors like lime, grass green, aqua or yellow, paired with indigo
Our Ideas & Additional Information
Please avoid childish or cute looks, as well as overly ornate designs. We prefer something clean.

HOWEVER, we want our logo to feel friendly, fun and creative, just not overly designed.

Discussion

We would like to avoid the use of the CMYK colors because it feels too much like a company selling printer ink. We are looking for something a bit more feminine and fun and less technical looking - still keeping it modern and clean. We prefer logos that are using no more than 3 colors, with 2 of those colors being monochromatic. Ex: 2 shades of a color plus indigo.

Keep in mind that we are creative and fun stationery company that caters to the modern mom looking for distinct and fresh designs.

Please also try to avoid anything that feels "tech-y" or leans toward technology. We want to convey a sense of creativity and artistry, which we think might have a softer feel.

Our site will compete with TinyPrints.com and Minted.com. Both of these are good examples of what our product will be like as well as our target customer. These sites are very different from each other, but show how two different ideas can appeal to the same customer.

Could you maybe try incorporating two fonts?
We like the SmartFood logo shown here: http://fritolay.com/our-snacks/smartfood-popcorn-clusters.html

We like how one font is clean and straightforward and the other is sort of (but not really) a script. This is just something to try and may end up being TOO feminine.

We need to walk a fine line of appealing to women but not coming across as "girly."

As far as color combinations, we really like the color indigo paired with a brighter pop of color like the lime here. But are open to other bright suggestions. We want to keep it from feeling too dark and serious.

We prefer the straightforward look of simple words. HOWEVER we are really looking for something distinct so that when this logo is printed on the side of a box in black ink it stands apart and doesn't look like just one word: indigoprints

We chose the word indigo because a lower case serif "g" is interesting to look at. We want this letter to be the thing that adds interest to our logo. But we still want it simple and clean.
