Hi! Here are some hints for getting the most out of your contest as it progresses:

~~ Rank designs daily -- this will encourage participation.
~~ Rank and re-rank a variety of designs to get a variety of new entries.
~~ Ranking gets your contest noticed! Unless your contest is private, 1st place entries are posted to the portfolio page: https://logotournament.com/portfolio
~~ Ranking designs daily will also keep your contest from getting cluttered.
~~ The more feedback you provide, the better results you are going to see.
~~ Designers are not offended by "Not Interested"
~~ Over-use of "Not Interested" discourages participation.
~~ Ranking is a non-monetary means of showing appreciation for designers hard work.
~~ Designers earn points for designs ranked in the top 10. We like to earn points.

~~ NOTE: While in JUDGING mode, the designer ranked in 1st can still submit revisions.

More detailed information on how to get the most out of your contest can be found here:

Great Start! I really like the tag, "The Pride of Granbury." We think that should be on all submissions. #1 has great colors. We'd like to see fewer design elements (a simpler design) and please remember that we will be stitching (embroidery) these logos on shirts. I don't think design #1 would lend itself to embroidery and #2 has some design elements that are a bit too small to successfully embroider at very small size (overall embroidery may be as small as 2.5 inches - 60mm - wide. But keep those designs coming! Nice work. We're excited!

Sunardi - Welcome! Beautiful design. #4 really looks more like something we were thinking as far as simple design, solid colors and a high-tech/modern look & feel. We think the design elements need a little more clarity. They are cool looking but we find ourselves trying to interpret the meaning of the shapes. Maybe it's a bit too vague. We like how design #1 grabbed the golden triangle off of the uniform design elements and used it to anchor the design. Maybe we should think about incorporating the golden triangle in a design styling like #4? Also, could we look at some asymmetrical or offset designs? Everything is a bit too "centered." We need more movement in the design. Awesome stuff!!!

The trend is awesome. Design #8 and #7 are bringing in the uniform (golden triangle) elements and getting a little more high tech. We'd like to see a little more motion or sweep to the design. It's still a little too round and centered. We need angle and movement. Any ideas? Keep going, you are all very good at what you do!

Maybe add a flag, a trumpet bell, a drum or a similar design element (not detailed, but just stylized into the design)?

Hi Contest Holder.

You could leave some particular feedbacks to the designers by clicking on the logo entries.
Giving feedback on the logo entries (designer's page) would promptly notify the designers via email notifications, so you'll get some improvements on the logo quicker than leaving a feedback on the contest page.

Thank you.

Well, you learn something every day. Thanks, Sunardi for the tip. I think you guys are doing great work. We will be away from the computer until late tonight (Saturday in the U.S.) and will try to be there for you on Sunday afternoon just before close so you have plenty of time to incorporate suggestions and new inspirations. Just so you know (busy weekend!). Thanks to you all - over and again!!!

All: a suggestion from the team is whether we should have a design element that implies a Pirate. Now, we understand, this may be a bit too much. But we'll throw it out there none the less. Maybe the eye patch of a pirate can be implied. Maybe flags can be crossed (instead of bones). We have a difficult mascot to incorporate. But we'll throw it out there for you professionals to consider.

All: The typeface in #43 used for "Pirate" is FANTASTIC!!! All your typeface improvements are really making these designs work. The band will be the final judge but these are all great contenders!!! Thank you for all of your work!

Our thanks to all of you. Please give me a couple of days to get these designs in front of the band for a final vote/ranking. We will try to be efficient. Your work is very, very appreciated!
