Giving Athletics, Inc.Logo Design Contest

Note to all designers: First, I would like to thank anyone who decides to take part in our contest. I've started this non-profit organization to help bring athletics to lower income individuals because I believe sports in the life of a person can have a positive impact. With this in mind, I would also like to mention that we would love to have an image created that uses the concept of 'giving sports to bring change in the world.' If it would be possible to have, in addition to a word 2.0 logo created using our company name "Giving Athletics" but also an image where athletic shoes and some image representing positive, social change we would really be grateful and enthusiastic towards that designer.

hm... why most of designers used athletic shoes with globe? is it Mare's idea? If yes: why many designers exploiting that idea? or i'm wrong?

most of us are using athletic or rubber shoes because it is written in the brief.
What We Do: We donate fairly used athletic shoes to lower income individuals all over the world...
So, what would you expect? shoes and globe of course.. I don't think we are exploting anyone here. If you follow the submission order it is nikkiz who used the globe and rubber shoes first. But, as I said it is not exploiting anyones idea coz it's in the brief. Hope that clears everything. You are most welcome to take part in this contest as well.

i do not think it's right anyway... Mare's #5 is the first entry with shoe on globe and when it was highly ranked there displayed different variations of that idea... tiny changed globe with tiny changed shoe (shoes)...
i do not see this in the brief... so what is the designer's work is? who best to draw globe and shoes:) funny

IMHO anyone can use "athletic shoes with globe" idea, it's not exclusive. BUT, please make it DIFFERENT than the one already sent. use YOUR OWN INTERPRETATION on "athletic shoes with globe". if the result is too similar maybe you should look for another idea. i think CH will appreciate more because they get more design ideas to consider and not just another "athletic shoes with globe".

I think this is a mater of concept, be creative make something diferent then what is already on the table.
I use this site moustly to make my self more creative, pushing my limits up and maybe win some cash.
I personaly dont care much about this ishue any more couse unfortunatly its happening to me too often
but, today im on the top and tomorow maybe you, so i think we realy need to solw this ishue couse all of us are in it and we got to find the way to make it work well!

I beg to disagree with you Grafixsphere. This is not a contest of who does a better globe and shoe contest. It is the concept that matters. Let the original designer improve on his own design (in Mare's case it is already perfect), let the design evolve. Mare's concept is the original concept, please respect that. I am not just referring to you but to all the designers in this contest.

Hi Everyone,

I apologize for ouer absence over the last day and half of this contest. Everyone here at Giving Athletics, Inc. loves what has been submitted. We love the concepts and think that the similarities in many of the designs submitted are ok. Please be fair and original when and where possible. We are grateful for the existence of such a forum and creative process this website provides. It makes it easier for a company of any kind to find a designer and new, original ideas for logos, images, etc. but we feel awful that we can only have one winner.

Best of luck to all of you. We will provide one more round of feedback either today or tomorrow to give everyone 24 hours to make one or more submissions based on feedback. Then we will make final decisions and rankings accordingly.

Thanks again to everyone for your time, creativity and expertise. We cannot express enough how much we appreciated receiving all of your submissions.

@van4u: it's not. it's the CH request to make it look 3D like that, so i did, everyone can do that. the original concept is very different, and the CH happen to like mine better.
