I did not use the shoe image on the globe rather show it via the shoelace and the globe being a "big shoe". I chose this way to represent the "giving of shoes" because the image emphasizes bringing people TOGETHER through the cause ("shoelace closing the gap"). The lace also symbolizes support.(This comment references Entry #46) 16 years ago jonshoes Client Hi Red, Your entry is fantastic. We love the concept and are really enthusiastic about your entry being in the running to win. We've mentioned to Mare, who is currently ranked number 1 in our contest, that the entry they submitted is also in the running. You are our number 2 at this point. Here are a few suggestions that might give you a better chance at moving up:-The font for the Giving Athletics, Inc. and Inspiring Social Change through Athletic Participation are fine. Can you make the "Athletics" in Giving Athletics, Inc. a mid-to-light blue? And can you make the company name stand out more, be a little more sharp? The way the company name and slogan circle around the globe is perfect. We just want the company name to stand out and be seen. -Can you add some blue and/or yellow to the globe to help it be a little defined? It doesn't need a lot, but we do want to see a little more color than just green. A few different versions would help us see if the globe really needs more color or not. Otherwise, its a great design. Maybe the most unique while still tying in everything that we mention in our description. Thanks for your hard work and submissions. We wish you all the best in our contest. Jon, co-founderGiving Athletics, Inc. 16 years ago jonshoes Client P.S. Make sure the shoes laces look like shoe laces and that they stand out and can be seen immediately as shoe laces. Right now the color of the shoe laces blends too much with the color of the globe. Thanks. 16 years ago red Logo Designer Thank you very much. I will work on the requirements. 16 years ago red Logo Designer Here is the revision you require. I changed the color of the globe, added details on the lace like shadow and volume to make it stand out and to enhance it. I also added volume on the opening in the globe to give it thickness. Thank you again for the feedback. I hope this one is better than the first.(This comment references Entry #65) 16 years ago jonshoes Client Hi Red, First, thanks for making the changes to your original design. I would like to let you know the latest rankings were made by my partner and that is why your original design was moved to 4th from 2nd. Now with your new entry I will be ranking you number 1 at this point (pending spelling corrections made to entry #65). My partner hasn't seen your latest changes and we will discuss your new design as we make final choice. Here are my final suggestions: -correct spelling of athletics in giving athletics. It's currently spelled as "atheletics"-make the slogan a little darker blue. We still want it similar to it's current color, but think it shouldn't look so faded. We love and acknowledge your changes to the laces and the globe. It's a great interpretation and neat to see that you recognize the importance of it resembling the shoe, and that overall image is symbolic for our company's mission. Great work red!!!Thanks again. Jon, co-founderGiving Athletics, Inc. 16 years ago jonshoes Client p.s. We would like to see your updated design with the slogan and company name switched. In other words put the company name at the top of globe and the slogan at the bottom. We just want to see what would look better. Thanks. 16 years ago jonshoes Client So two designs should be created if it's not too much trouble: one in it's original state with most recent suggestions and another, again with spelling corrections but with slogan and company name switched. I hope that makes sense. Thanks again. 16 years ago jonshoes Client Hi Red,Looking forward to seeing your entry after you make any final suggested changes. I just wanted to send you an update with our thoughts. Basically, Great job with your latest entries. My partner will be making her final rankings tonight and we will make a decision tomorrow. Your entry #65 we have currently at number 1 is really great. I will let you know if you should make any more last minute changes before our final rankings around 12 hours left in the contest. We will most likely narrow our focus down to the top 5 to 10 designers tonight and provide feedback to them to allow enough time to make final changes we may suggest. So please check your messages for one more round of suggested changes and then, best of luck!!!Take care. I hope you're doing great. Jon, co-founderGiving Athletics, Inc. 16 years ago jonshoes Client P.S. Do you notice how after the bow only one shoe lace comes down? Can you make the image more balanced by adding a lace to the right side? That way the left side of the shoe lace bow looks like the right. Its looks fine without the lace coming down, but it would great to see if it would look better with or without it once you've made spelling corrections to company name and color changes to slogan. Thanks. 16 years ago red Logo Designer Thank you very much again for your feedback. I will work on the versions you suggested. 16 years ago red Logo Designer here are a couple of versions. thank you.(This comment references Entry #76) 16 years ago red Logo Designer version 4 based on the original design but switched(This comment references Entry #77) 16 years ago red Logo Designer With a shoelace yet based on original text(This comment references Entry #78) 16 years ago red Logo Designer with the shoelace and switched text(This comment references Entry #79) 16 years ago van4u Logo Designer Vote for yours!
