What We Do
We are a pool service company. We specialize in pool cleaning, equipment service, water chemistry balancing, repair, remodeling. Our target audience is anyone that has a pool.
Industry
Color Preferences
We want to project a professional, but fun vibe. We want to use unique colors like purple, yellow, green, blue, and black. We do not want an all blue, or primarily blue, logo because many pool service companies have this color scheme
Our Ideas & Additional Information
We like the purple and yellow Fortress Pool Service logo in the attached file. We could keep that the same or similar.
We do not like the current version of the medieval knight mascot because we think its too cartoony and disproportionate. We want to keep the concept of a medieval knight but we want it to be more like a life-like comic book character.
We like the mascot style of Ultra Pool Care Squad in the attachment.

Discussion
Client
The mascot is very important. The character needs to look life-like with facial features, eyes, a smile, and have the same flippers and goggles as the example.
We like the knight that we have, we just need him to be transformed into a character more resembling the super hero inspiration that I added for guidance.
Please leave the tag line out of the logo design for now.

Thank you everyone for your submissions so far. Here is some general feedback to make your entry stronger.
1. We are looking for a mascot character. The letering is secondary and can closely match what we already have developed, although we are open to new lettering font too.
2. We are not looking for a badge or crest, although there are a fe submissions that we may move along because we like them, although it won't likely win the competition.
3. The character should have clear facial features to make look more realistic. For instance, I want to be able to make out the eye color. If I zoom in, what would it look like. This needs to look great, enlarged on the side of a van.
4. We want the character to be a Knight, not a superhero. The superhero example image provided in the contest inspiration was to show the realism level we are looking for.
5. Your character should not look like a mannequin. It needs to look realistic with a personality. It needs facial features, skin showing, and be friendly, inviting and playful looking. We want our brand to have a fun vibe, nothing too serious looking.
6. The character should not be too skinny or muscular. A normal build with some muscle definition is preferred.
7. The character armor should have a variety of colors in it to look more realistic. If it is all primarily one color with various shades, that doesn't look real.
8. The character needs to be tied into pool cleaning and play along with the Fortress / Knight concept. It does not necessarily have to include goggles and flippers, but must have a clear association with pool cleaning services.

After reviewing several designs, I believe we will likely get rid of the flippers in the mascot. If you already submitted one with flippers and would like to also submit one without, that would be great. Or, we can wait until we've short listed the designs.
