Hello, thanks for the first proposals. Please take in consideration the identity we're trying to achieve, if you have any questions please dont hesitate to ask.

Good work !

Let's add an important note to the brief, on the meaning of "eSpice". First, Spice stands for spices (italianized, singular), the food ingredients.

Just like spices adds value to a dish (better flavour, richer texture, stronger colours... heightened sensual stimulation) we want to add spices to the way our customers communicate with their markets.

Therefore it would be better to write "Spice" as a word, with the uppercase initial and the rest in lowercase, and the "e" prefix in lowercase. So it's eSpice, like for eMail, eBusiness, eCommerce, ...

Also a graphical logo can help to hint the concept.

Please, dare.

Looking at the proposal, I'd avoid that the artwork on "e" gives it too much strength (as in #23) or detaches it too much (as in #21) from the Spice. "e" stands for an adjective, "electronic Spice".

Thanks

Spice is at singular to match with italian grammar for foreign words, we mean spices (plural). Variety is valued.

Hi everyone, we're hungry for more ideas !!!

Have a look at the brief and the above notes and let your creativity express. We're keen to dare !

Try to leave eSpice in simple text and add a smart graphical logo, there's plenty to experiment with spices: variety, bright colors, textures, powders ...

Make it cool & spicy, and have fun with it !!

Wow great work ! The first 10 positions are all great candidates !

The others are ranked pretty much randomly, I apologize but it isn't easy on the tool here to carefully rank the full list.

Good morning everyone, we have opted to extend the contest.

Several interesting proposals are on the contests, not even all top ranked yet. We will need time to evaluate, make the choice and work with the designers of the short list to refine their concept.

We might also want to explore a different concept line, in case I'll add a post here later.

Thanks for your understanding.

Have a nice day

I've been reported that some designer is claiming the chilly idea and asking other designers to withdraw their proposals with chillies. I can't see the case for such a claim. Actually might be open to debate whether the use a chilly to convey the idea of spicy is really creative.

It looks to me that all proposals using chillies, and for sure all those ranking high, have been the product of original creative effort.

So please don't try to ban other chillies as that would kill the value of the open competition.

To be fair, if someone feels his/her creativity had been stolen please refer to me or let's get the moderators involved.

Also, be assured that it won't be a chilly that will make the winner :)

Thanks !

We're asking the finalists to refine their proposals and to replace the chillies with something evocative of the fresh and spicy idea, not as much figurative as a chilly.

If anyone still wants to make proposals we're still open to new idea, just please mind the timing.

Maybe a possible alternative to explore is a logo that plays with both the letters e and s.

Thanks

The contest is over, we've made our choice. It had not been easy, and it's a pain we can't have 10 winners. So many proposals look great.

What influenced the decision was the ability of the winning proposal to give the feeling without being too explicit, and the good balance of refinement between logo and text.

We matured our perspective as the proposals where flowing in, many of you had made a great work of interpretation and creativity.

Thanks a lot, really !
